  • Corbin Carroll RF | ARI

Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Two extra-base hits in loss

Carroll went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Friday's 9-2 loss to the Yankees.

Carroll's two-run blast answered the Yankees' five-run first inning, but the Diamondbacks wouldn't generate any other offense. The outfielder has gone 7-for-28 (.250) over his last seven games, but three of those hits have been homers. For the season, he's batting .240 with an .804 OPS, 22 long balls, 69 RBI, 89 runs scored, 31 doubles, 16 triples and 21 stolen bases across 148 contests.

  • Padres' Dustin Harris: Logs ninth steal

Harris went 2-for-5 with two RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 8-2 win over the Marlins.

Harris has hit safely in his last eight games, going 13-for-31 (.419) in that span. The outfielder has provided some speed with three steals and two triples in that span. For the season, he's batting .314 with a .776 OPS, no home runs, 18 RBI, 17 runs scored, three doubles, three triples and nine steals over 117 plate appearances between the Padres, White Sox and Astros.

  • Padres' Jackson Merrill: Tacks on run with homer

Merrill went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-2 win over the Marlins.

He's hit safely in nine straight games, going 19-for-40 (.475) with four homers and 13 RBI in that span. Merrill's blast was extra padding for the Padres' lead in this contest. The outfielder is now hitting .256 with a .752 OPS, 26 homers, 86 RBI, 81 runs scored, 25 doubles, five triples and 26 stolen bases over 151 games this season.

  • Juan Soto LF | NYM

Mets' Juan Soto: Cracks three-run deep ball

Soto went 3-for-5 with a double and a three-run home run during the Mets' 6-3 win over the Phillies on Friday.

With the game tied 3-3 in the sixth, Soto won the game with a 428-foot, three-run home run to center field off Orion Kerkering. It was the fourth home run in September for Soto and his 26th of the year. The superstar outfielder would need a major power surge over the final week of the regular season to reach the 30-homer mark for a fourth consecutive year.

  • Edmundo Sosa LF | PHI

Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Logs three hits in Friday's loss

Sosa went 3-for-3 with a double, a solo home run and an additional run scored during the Phillies' 6-3 loss to the Mets on Friday.

Sosa scored the Phillies' first run of the game on a Bryson Stott double in the second inning, and the latter cut the deficit to 3-2 with a solo homer in the sixth. It was Sosa's first home run since Aug. 30 and eighth homer of the year, which is three shy from his career-high total of 11 long balls that he recorded in 2025.

  • Tristan Peters CF | CHW

White Sox's Tristan Peters: Dealing with bruised shoulder

Peters was diagnosed with a left shoulder/rib contusion following his exit from Friday's game against Detroit.

Peters was pulled from the game in the fifth inning after crashing into the outfield wall, and although he initially appeared at risk of having suffered a head injury, most of the damage was instead done to his upper torso. The White Sox are considering him day-to-day for now, and Brenton Doyle would be the favorite to start in center field if Peters is unable to play Saturday.

  • Roman Anthony LF | BOS

Red Sox's Roman Anthony: Drives in three runs vs. Tampa Bay

Anthony went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a two-run single during the Red Sox's 4-2 win over the Rays on Friday.

Anthony was responsible for all but one of the Red Sox's runs in Friday's win, with the 22-year-old slugger getting Boston on the board with a solo homer off Ian Seymour in the first inning. It was the first time this season that Anthony recorded three RBI in a game. He has a .709 OPS with two steals, five home runs and 14 RBI across 215 plate appearances this season.

  • Tristan Peters CF | CHW

White Sox's Tristan Peters: Exits with injury

Peters was removed from Friday's game against the Tigers with an apparent head injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Peters was taken out of the game immediately after crashing into the wall while chasing down a flyball in the fifth inning. The White Sox will presumably evaluate him for a concussion, and an update on his health should come in the near future.

  • Giants' Victor Bericoto: Back from injured list

The Giants reinstated Bericoto (knee) from the injured list Friday.

Bericoto began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Sept. 9 and went 9-for-27 with two RBI and four runs scored over seven games. Now fully recovered from the bone bruise in his right knee, the 24-year-old will rejoin the active roster to replace Nate Furman (oblique) on San Francisco's bench.

  • Kyren Paris LF | LAA

Angels' Kyren Paris: Placed on injured list

The Angels placed Paris on the 10-day injured list Friday with a fractured right index finger, retroactive to Tuesday

Paris said Friday that he injured himself while fielding grounders before Thursday's game, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. The 24-year-old is expected to need 3-to-4 weeks to recover, which rules him out for the rest of the season but leaves him plenty of time to be ready for 2027. Bryce Teodosio was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to replenish the Halos' bench depth.
