  • Athletics' Lawrence Butler: Homers in three-hit game

Butler went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a double in Friday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Butler went deep in the third inning. He entered the contest 0-for-15 with five strikeouts over his previous four games. Aside from that skid, the outfielder has been pretty steady for much of the second half. He's now batting .229 with a .694 OPS, 14 homers, 54 RBI, 55 runs scored, 17 doubles, one triple and 10 stolen bases over 140 contests.

  • Corbin Carroll RF | ARI

Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Homers in return to lineup

Carroll went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 9-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Carroll went yard as part of a five-run sixth inning for the Diamondbacks. The outfielder had missed the previous two games due to lower back discomfort. He reached the 20-homer mark Friday, but his power has been a little lacking recently, as he has just two long balls over his last 25 games. For the season, he's batting .240 with an .803 OPS, 63 RBI, 86 runs scored, 30 doubles, 16 triples and 21 stolen bases over 142 contests. Carroll has reached the 20-20 mark in each of his four full major-league seasons.

  • Dylan Beavers LF | BAL

Orioles' Dylan Beavers: Sets tone with leadoff homer

Beavers went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a two-run single during Baltimore's 7-4 win over Toronto on Friday.

Beavers wasted no time in getting the Orioles on the board, taking the second pitch he saw from Max Scherzer deep to right field for a 375-foot solo homer in the first inning. Beavers capped off Baltimore's five-run second inning with a two-run single, and the 25-year-old outfielder has now logged three RBI in back-to-back games and three times this season. He has a .712 OPS with five steals, seven home runs and 39 RBI over 309 plate appearances on the campaign.

  • Brett Bateman CF | TOR

Blue Jays' Brett Bateman: Smacks first major-league homer

Bateman went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run during Toronto's 7-4 loss to Baltimore on Friday.

It was another disappointing loss for a Blue Jays team looking to sneak into the playoffs, but Bateman gave the home fans something to cheer for with a two-run homer in the ninth inning to make the score look more respectable. It was the first major-league home run of Bateman's career and only his seventh homer at any level since being selected by the Cubs in the eighth round of the 2023 MLB Draft. The 24-year-old outfielder has an .826 OPS with three steals, nine RBI and seven extra-base hits across 134 plate appearances this season.

  • A.J. Ewing CF | NYM

Mets' A.J. Ewing: Drives in two runs Friday

Ewing went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a sacrifice fly during the Mets' 6-4 loss to the Yankees on Friday.

Ewing kept the Mets competitive with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning before belting a solo homer off David Bednar in the ninth to reduce the deficit to two runs. Ewing has logged at least two RBI in four of his last six outings and has reached base safely in 10 consecutive games, going 16-for-37 (.432) with two home runs, nine RBI and eight runs scored over that span.

  • Cody Bellinger LF | NYY

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Belts three-run homer Friday

Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a double and a three-run home run during the Yankees' 6-4 win over the Mets on Friday.

Bellinger gave the Yankees a 4-1 lead in the second inning after taking Nolan McLean deep to right-center field for a three-run homer. It was Bellinger's second long ball in three games and 14th of the year. The veteran outfielder is heating up at the plate at the right time for the Yankees and has gone 20-for-53 (.377) with two home runs, eight RBI and 12 runs scored over his last 13 games, recording at least one hit in 12 of those contests.

  • Kyle Tucker RF | LAD

Dodgers' Kyle Tucker: Monster performance in win

Tucker went 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple, five RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Marlins.

Tucker got the Dodgers on the board with a sacrifice fly in the third inning before launching a grand slam in the seventh. The 29-year-old has delivered back-to-back three-hit efforts for the first time in an otherwise disappointing campaign, going deep in both contests with four extra-base hits overall. On the year, he's slashing .230/.326/.375 with 14 homers, 65 RBI, 78 runs scored and 10 steals across 567 plate appearances.

  • Riley Greene LF | DET

Tigers' Riley Greene: Nears cycle in win

Greene went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, a run scored and two RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Rockies.

Greene needed just his 20th home run of the season to record his first career cycle in the majors. Now that he's healthy following a few weeks on the injured list with a strained hamstring, the star outfielder is heating up at the plate. In nine games since returning, Greene is batting .361 with three home runs and 13 RBI, and he once again looks like Detroit's best offensive player.

  • Max Clark CF | DET

Tigers' Max Clark: Homers, swipes base in win

Clark went 1-for-2 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Rockies. He also stole a base.

Clark showed off his combination of power and speed by launching his third home run of the season and recording his fourth stolen base. It was the first time in his MLB career that the rookie has gone deep and swiped a base in the same game. Clark did plenty of both in the minors, so he should have many more performances like Friday as he settles in at the top level.

  • Rays' Victor Mesa: Stays hot in win

Mesa went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Astros.

Mesa got the Rays on the board with a solo shot in the fifth inning before adding a stolen base in the seventh. The 25-year-old is now riding a modest seven-game hitting streak, delivering three homers, six RBI, six runs scored and three stolen bases during that stretch. For the year, he's slashing .250/.316/.500 with 13 long balls, 28 RBI, 28 runs scored and nine steals across 214 plate appearances.
