  • Thomas Sorber PF | OKC

Thunder's Thomas Sorber: Won't play in season opener

Sorber (knee) won't play in Tuesday's season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Sorber remains without a definitive timeline for his season debut following offseason knee surgery. Once cleared to play, he's expected to operate as frontcourt depth for Oklahoma City.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Available to play

Holmgren (quad) is available for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Holmgren did not play during the preseason due to the quad issue, but he'll be out there for Opening Night. Holmgren was a top-20 player last season with averages of 17.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 triples and 1.9 blocks per contest, and he should provide similar production in his age-24 season.

  • Nikola Topic PG | OKC

Thunder's Nikola Topic: Won't play Tuesday

Topic (back) won't play in Tuesday's season opener against the Spurs, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Topic lacks a concrete timetable for his season debut due to offseason back surgery. He's set to serve as backcourt depth once healthy for the Thunder.

  • Luke Kennard SG | PHO

Suns' Luke Kennard: Ramping up in practice

Kennard (knee) increased his activity in practice Monday, Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic reports.

Coach Jordan Ott mentioned that Kennard fared well in practice, but it seems the team is wanting to monitor him closely over the next day or so before clearing him for Wednesday's opener. "He did more today, for sure, in practice," said Ott. "This was kind of a test day to see exactly where he's at. Tomorrow will be a lower day. Try to be right for Wednesday." Kennard experienced knee soreness near the end of the preseason, forcing him to miss Wednesday's exhibition, but it isn't expected to be long-term issue.

  • Dean Wade PF | PHI

76ers' Dean Wade: Iffy for Tuesday

Wade (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's season opener versus the Knicks, per Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com.

With back-to-back missed practices, Wade appears to be on the wrong side of the questionable tag. Justin Edwards and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would have a chance to enter the streaming mix in deep leagues if Wade is out.

  • Adem Bona PF | PHI

76ers' Adem Bona: Questionable for Tuesday

Bona (foot) is questionable for Tuesday's meeting in New York, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Bona missed the preseason due to the foot issue, but he was able to get in a full practice Sunday, so he appears to be trending in the right direction. If Bona is cleared for Tuesday's season opener, he'll play limited minutes behind Joel Embiid.

  • 76ers' Anfernee Simons: Questionable for Tuesday

Simons (hamstring) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Simons managed to log a full practice Sunday, but the team isn't yet ready to commit to his availability for the regular-season opener. The Sixers should have an update on his status closer to tipoff.

  • Tacko Fall C | PHI

76ers' Tacko Fall: Won't play Tuesday

Fall (hip) is out for Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Knicks, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Fall will sit out the 76ers' first regular-season game with the same injury that sidelined him for the preseason. For now, he should be viewed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Cavs.

  • Drew Timme PF | PHO

    Drew Timme: Claimed by Suns

The Suns claimed Timme off waivers Monday, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.com.

After being let go by Minnesota on Saturday, Timme wasn't allowed to go through waivers unclaimed without Phoenix snatching him up. With Mark Williams (shoulder) likely out through the All-Star break, Timme helps reinforce Phoenix's depth at center.

  • Dom Barlow PF | PHI

76ers' Dominick Barlow: Out at least two weeks

Barlow will miss at least the next two weeks of action due to a lumbar spine bone stress response, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

The back issue cost Barlow the entire preseason, and now he'll begin the regular season on the sidelines. The earliest we could see Barlow back on the court would be Nov. 2, but it wouldn't be shocking to see his absence extend beyond this loose, two-week window.
