  • Naz Reid PF | CHA

Hornets' Naz Reid: Paces Charlotte in blowout loss

Reid recorded 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 25 minutes in Friday's 128-81 loss to the Hawks.

Reid did most of his damage in the first half, as he logged only seven minutes in the second half of this blowout loss. The big man was the only Hornets player to score more than 11 points, and he also finished third on the team in rebounds. He's totaled 37 points, 17 rebounds and nine assists through his first two regular-season games with the Hornets and will likely continue seeing increased usage for as long as Kon Knueppel (hamstring) and Coby White (calf) are unavailable.

  • Jalen Smith C | CHI

Bulls' Jalen Smith: Double-double with three blocks

Smith recorded 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 13 rebounds, one assist and three steals over 24 minutes during Friday's 132-125 victory over the Bucks.

Smith recorded a 14-and-13 double-double, adding three blocks, despite playing just 24 minutes. Zach Collins failed to see the floor, with Chicago opting to play Leonard Miller and, to a lesser extent, Noah Essengue, as small-ball center options. Nic Claxton remains without a specific timetable for his return from a hamstring injury, meaning Smith should be rostered in all formats moving forward.

  • Trae Young PG | WAS

Wizards' Trae Young: Dishes out 12 assists Friday

    Young posted 22 points (5-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 8-10 FT), a rebound, 12 assists and a steal across 37 minutes in Friday's 112-102 loss to the Raptors.

Even though the Wizards suffered their first loss of the season, Young posted an impressive stat line and excelled as a playmaker. Young has posted at least 20 points and 12 assists in each of his first two games of the season, and he's enjoying a sizzling start to the season, although it remains to be seen if he can keep it up for an extended stretch -- and if he stays healthy as well.

  • Josh Giddey PG | CHI

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Struggles continue Friday

Giddey posted six points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and nine assists over 25 minutes during Friday's 132-125 victory over Milwaukee.

Giddey played through a wrist injury, although he was certainly far from his best once again. Although he did manage a game-high nine assists, his scoring was well below expectations, as was his playing time. Given that fantasy managers likely invested a high draft pick to secure him, the only course of action is to ride this out and hope he turns things around sooner rather than later. For those interested in acquiring Giddey, now would be a good time to throw out a buy-low offer.

  • Ayo Dosunmu SG | MIN

Timberwolves' Ayo Dosunmu: Dishes out nine dimes Friday

Dosunmu recorded 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists, a steal and a block across 27 minutes off the bench in Friday's 115-93 win over the Magic.

Seven Minnesota players scored in double digits Friday, but none recorded more than 15 points, and Dosunmu made his presence felt by leading the team in assists and ranking third in rebounds. Despite his bench role, Dosunmu should be a valuable fantasy alternative in most formats due to his scoring and playmaking ability.

  • Paolo Banchero PF | ORL

Magic's Paolo Banchero: Exits Friday's loss early

Banchero didn't check back in during the fourth quarter of Friday's 115-93 loss to the Timberwolves after being deemed doubtful to return. He finished with 14 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal across 26 minutes.

Banchero exited to the locker room in the third quarter after tweaking his right ankle. He briefly returned to action in the third but didn't see the floor in the fourth due to ankle soreness. The star forward can be considered questionable for Sunday's game at New York until the Magic offer an update on his status.

  • Jalen Johnson PF | ATL

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Loaded stat line Friday

Johnson posted 19 points (9-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a block across 29 minutes in Friday's 128-81 win over the Hornets.

The Hawks looked dominant on both ends of the court and cruised to a 47-point victory -- and Johnson finished just two dimes and three boards shy of a triple-double despite playing under 30 minutes. Johnson also made his presence felt defensively with four steals-plus-blocks combined. It's only been two games, but Johnson is off to an excellent start in 2026-27 with 39 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists in his first two contests.

  • Ausar Thompson SF | DET

Pistons' Ausar Thompson: Exits to locker room Friday

Thompson (undisclosed) exited to the locker room in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Heat, Zachary Weinberger of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Thompson hobbled to the bench after an awkward fall and limped to the locker room shortly thereafter. He can be considered questionable to return until further notice.

  • Gui Santos SF | GS

Warriors' Gui Santos: Not starting Friday

Santos won't start Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Graham Ike will draw his first career start, pushing Santos to the second unit. The 24-year-old forward logged 25 minutes in Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Lakers, posting 12 points, five rebounds and one steal.

  • Graham Ike C | GS

    Warriors' Graham Ike: Starting Friday

Ike will start Friday against the Grizzlies, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg and Draymond Green will join Ike in the first unit for Friday's game. Ike was impressive in the Warriors' season opener, finishing with eight points, two rebounds, one assist, one three-pointer, one steal and one block in 12 minutes off the bench, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do in a starting role.
