Shocking news of the day: Floyd Mayweather Jr. has gone Facebook viral.
The five-division champion released the first of three training videos billed as Facebook exclusives on Monday afternoon, and had garnered nearly 850,000 views in two hours.
The 31-second clip opens with Mayweather's signature TBE (The Best Ever) graphic and subsequently shows him in various stages of exertion as he prepares for the May 2 welterweight unification match with Manny Pacquiao.
No audio is included beyond a soundtrack worthy of a blockbuster action flick, though the graphics sequentially work through a message telling viewers: "On May 2, the world will be watching."
If you haven't heard, this is shaping up to be perhaps the biggest event in boxing history. Both sides are predictably confident and neither corner is backing off their daily trash talk. Pacquaio, with a career record of 57-5-2, has made it clear he will attack Mayweather -- while rumors have surfaced that Mayweather, despite his unblemished 47-0 record coming largely thanks to his legendary defense, is preparing to up his own aggression come fight night.
However it plays out, we can't wait for May 2.
