Mike Trout's Double-A jersey sold for over $2,500

AL MVP runner-up Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels spent 91 games with the Double-A Arkansas Travelers in 2011, posing some pretty sick numbers (.326/.414/.544 with 18 doubles, 13 triples, 11 homers and 33 steals).

Still, it was only 91 games and for a Double-A team. I wouldn't think it would be overly exciting to buy a game-worn jersey of Trout's from that stint, but 27 bids on eBay say otherwise.

Trout's No. 23 jersey (pictured below, courtesy of eBay) from his stint at Arkansas went for $2,524 on the auction site. Personally, I don't understand paying this amount for a piece of paraphernalia, but to each his own.

There was no immediate word on the WAR of the winning bidder, but I did hear he has a great UZR.
