Late in Game 2, Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada was taken out at second base by Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley. As a result, Tejada broke his right fibula and is obviously out for the rest of the season.
Not surprisingly, with the series returning to New York, Utley was roundly booed in player introductions before Game 3 in Citi Field.
On the opposite end of the spectrum was Tejada, cane in hand with a cast on his injury. The ovation was heart-warming for Mets fans, surely.
