Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Silences Nationals in 15th win
Imanaga (15-3) allowed six hits and struck out four without walking a batter over seven shutout innings to earn the win over the Nationals on Sunday.
Imanaga is up to 15 wins, and he's secured a victory in each of his last six starts, all of which have been quality. In that span, he's allowed just 10 runs over 40 innings (2.25 ERA) despite yielding seven home runs. Imanaga lowered his ERA to 2.91 with a 1.02 WHIP and 174:28 K:BB through 173.1 innings over 29 starts this season. The 31-year-old southpaw is tentatively projected to conclude his first major-league season with a home start versus the Reds.

Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Strikes out 11 in win
Imanaga (14-3) got the win Monday against the A's, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 11 over six innings.
Imanaga recorded another quality start Monday and set a new career high for strikeouts in the process. It was Imanaga's 18th quality start of the season, which ties him with Chris Sale and Aaron Nola for third most in the National League. The 31-year-old rookie now has three starts this season of 10 or more strikeouts, and all three have come after the All-Star break. Imanaga has a 3.03 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 166.1 innings this season.

Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Earns win despite homer issues
Imanaga (13-3) got the win over the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out four over seven innings. He did not issue a walk.
Imanaga was hurt by the long ball, as he allowed three solo home runs, including two home runs to Tommy Edman. Imanaga was awarded a fourth straight victory after the Cubs rallied in the eighth for five runs to put him in line for the win. The lefty has now reached seven innings in three of his last four starts and Tuesday marked his eighth start this season without a walk. He owns a 3.03 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 159:25 K:BB in 160.1 innings and lines up for a home start against Oakland to begin next week.

Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Sets tone in combined no-no
Imanaga (12-3) pitched seven innings of no-hit ball, striking out seven and walking two without allowing a run to earn the win over the Pirates on Wednesday.
Imanaga threw 95 pitches (66 strikes) in his best start of the year, which was his seventh scoreless outing. Nate Pearson and Porter Hodge each threw a perfect inning of relief to secure the combined no-hitter for the Cubs. Imanaga pitched to a decent 3.68 ERA over 36.2 innings across six starts in August and is off to a stellar start in September as the Cubs try to make up ground in the wild-card race. For the season, Imanaga has a 2.99 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 155:25 K:BB over 153.1 innings across 26 starts. He's projected for a tough road outing versus the Dodgers his next time out.

Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Wins with quality start
Imanaga (11-3) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over Washington.
Imanaga gave up three runs through three innings, including a solo shot off the bat of Dylan Crews, but settled in to deliver a quality start. It was Imanaga's second straight quality start and third in six August appearances. He gave up only three long balls through his first nine starts but has been taken deep 20 times over his last 16 outings. Imanaga now owns a 3.14 ERA with a 148:23 K:BB through 146.1 frames. He's projected for a home start against the Pirates next week.
