| Position | East | West |
| Backcourt | Rajon Rondo, Boston Celtics | Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers |
| Backcourt | Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat | Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers |
| Frontcourt | LeBron James, Miami Heat | Kevin Durant, OKC Thunder |
| Frontcourt | Carmelo Anthony, New York Knicks | Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers |
| Frontcourt | Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics | Dwight Howard, Los Angeles Lakers |
No big surprises, and it's good to see that Jeremy Lin, who admitted himself that he shouldn't be an All-Star, wasn't selected for the West guard spot. There were snubs as there always are (Tim Duncan and the absence of a single Warriors player may be the biggest), but in general it was about what you'd expect from the fans and a good representation of the biggest "stars" in the league, which is the whole point.
