The Houston Rockets pulled off an absolutely astounding comeback in the fourth quarter of Game 6 against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. They trailed by 19 points with 2:27 left in the third, and ended up with a 119-107 victory despite MVP runner-up James Harden watching the final frame from the bench.

Just how improbable was this result? The Clippers had a 97.41 chance of winning at that 2:27 mark, per numberFire's Russell Peddle. You might want to look at this probablility graph:

You'd think math would fail to capture just how thoroughly the Clippers collapsed, how they let go of the rope or took their foot off the gas or whatever stock phrase you'd like to use. I'd say this comes pretty close, though. You can see the steep cliff where Los Angeles stumbled and fell.

Game 7, against all odds, will take place on Sunday.
