Miami guard will rest a tight hamstring while shooter returns from illness.
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra announced Friday night that guard Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and center Greg Oden (back) will not play Friday vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves. Ray Allen, who's been out over a week with illness, is a gametime decision but expected to return to the lineup.
The game comes as the Heat attempt to maintin a hold on the No.1 spot in the Eastern Conference with the edge for home court advantage over the Pacers. Indiana plays Toronto Friday who will be without guard Kyle Lowry.
Miami has said they don't intend to rest multiple players beyond Wade on account of how close the race for the No. 1 seed is.
