Tampa Bay Online reports that former NBA player Dwayne Schintzius died Sunday of respiratory failure involved with complications following a bone marrow transplant. Schintzius' younger brother confirmed the former Net and Spur's passing.
The 7-2 big man lead Florida to its first three NCAA tournament appearances and was drafted 24th in the 1990 draft. Schintzius was 43.
