The Bills weren't able to convince safety Jairus Byrd to stay in Buffalo but they bolstered their defense Wednesday by signing former Ravens cornerback Corey Graham and former Giants linebacker Keith Rivers.
Graham's deal is for four years and $16 million, including $5.5 million in 2014.
“Early in the free agency process, we identified Corey Graham as a player who would help our football team,” Bills General Manager Doug Whaley said, via the team's web site. “Graham is a smart, physical and tough cornerback who has had success with both the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens. He is playmaker defensively and on special teams. We believe he will help the Buffalo Bills improve in both areas in the years to come.”
Rivers, meanwhile, was originally a 2008 first-round pick of Bengals but never played like it in Cincy. He spent the last two seasons with the Giants where he started 14 games. He ranked 18th among all outside linebackers last season, according to PFF.
