The last time we saw Antonio Bryant in the NFL he was being cut by the Bengals before he ever took a regular-season snap with the team, despite them signing him to a four-year, $28 million deal that offseason. (Please simmer on that sentence for a minute.)
But he's back -- the Seahawks announced they'd signed Bryant on Thursday, shortly after CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported Seattle was also trying out free-agent wideout Braylon Edwards.
That doesn't say anything good about how Edwards looked during his tryout, especially considering Bryant was reportedly out of shape when he worked out for Pete Carroll earlier in the summer.
Bryant's last regular-season action was with the Buccaneers in 2009, when he caught 39 passes for 600 yards while playing on the franchise tag. Tampa Bay hit Bryant with the tag after he caught 83 passes for 1,248 yards in 2008.
