When Dolphins attack: Jarvis Landry, Rishard Matthews score long TDs
Matthews and Landry scored from 53 and 50 yards out. Then Landry added another score. The rout is on for Miami.
So how 'bout that Dan Campbell era in Miami? For the second straight week, the Miami Dolphins' offense looks like a completely different animal.
Ryan Tannehill has started off the game 6 for 6 for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Those two TDs were each long gainers by Rishard Matthews and Jarvis Landry.
The Matthews touchdown was a pretty simple pitch-and-catch-and-run, but it's still pretty sweet in live action. Check it:
There were 2 defenders in front of @_RMatthews when he caught this pass. Then he hit turbo. 53-yard TD. #HOUvsMIA https://t.co/aZL9qpyNli

That's a 53-yarder to put the Dolphins up 7-0. Three straight punts (two by Houston and one by Miami) later, the Dolphins were set up on the 50-yard line when Landry went all Frogger through the Houston defense for a preposterous touchdown.
.@God_Son80 doesn't want 13-yard grab. He wants 50-yard TD. And he'll dance on your defense to get it. #HOUvsMIA https://t.co/jZjwrzDvRh

How many tackles did he break? Seriously, I lost count. What a display of juking and shifting. Things look like they might be turning around in Miami after a disastrous early season start.
Oh, and while I was writing this post, Landry added another touchdown. Miami's up 21-0 now. Really pouring it on. (Yes, this is a rain pun. It's raining in Miami.)
