Runyan (personal) was a full participant in the Giants' practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the team's official site reports.

Giants' Jon Runyan: Inactive for Week 16
Runyan (personal) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Giants' Jon Runyan: Works during padded practice
Runyan (ankle) participated in Wednesday's padded practice, Pat Leonard of the Daily News reports.
Runyan missed the final four games of the 2024 season after undergoing ankle surgery in December to address a sprain and torn ligament. Runyan arrived from Green Bay last offseason to serve as a key piece on the offensive line, and he will be charged with protecting Russell Wilson to start the season.

Giants' Jon Runyan: Recovering from multiple surgeries
Runyan had surgery to address a right-ankle sprain and another to address a torn ligament in his ankle after sustaining injuries in Week 14 versus the Saints, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Runyan was sidelined for the Giants' last four games, but the specifics of his injuries weren't public knowledge until after the end of the regular season. It's not clear at this point whether the recovery timeline for the procedures will cut into the 2025 season.

Giants' Jon Runyan: Won't play again this season
Runyan (ankle) was moved to injured reserve Saturday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Runyan hurt his ankle last Sunday against the Saints and was deemed week-to-week soon thereafter. It turns out the veteran lineman won't play again this season, as his move to IR will require him to sit out New York's final four contests. Aaron Stinnie is the most likely candidate to start at left guard in Runyan's absence.

Giants' Jon Runyan: Unavailable to face Baltimore
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Friday that Runyan (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Daboll previously said Runyan is "week-to-week, maybe more" after picking up an ankle injury during New York's loss to the Saints in Week 14, so it's not entirely surprising to see the starting left guard ruled out to face Baltimore. Aaron Stinnie and Jake Kubas will both be candidates to step into the starting lineup with Runyan unavailable.

Giants' Jon Runyan: Could miss time
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Monday that Runyan (ankle) is "week-to-week, maybe more," Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Runyan is dealing with a sore ankle coming out of Sunday's 14-11 loss to the Saints. A clearer picture of Runyan's status for the Week 15 game against the Ravens should come when the Giants release their first practice report Wednesday, but the left guard appears likely to miss at least one game.
