  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Placed on IR, designated to return

Randall (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Ravens on Sunday with a designation to return, Ryan Mink of the team's official website reports.

Randall played in two of the team's three preseason contests, turning 17 carries into 71 yards and a score while also catching four of six targets for 47 yards. The running back missed the second game of the preseason with an undisclosed injury, and it's possible that he aggravated the previous injury in Baltimore's preseason finale against the Commanders on Friday. Randall will now be forced to sit out at least four contests to begin the year while on IR, so the earliest he'll be able to make his NFL regular-season debut will be Oct. 11 in Atlanta. In his absence, Rasheen Ali is expected to operate as the Ravens' No. 3 option in the backfield behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill to begin the 2026 campaign.

  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Racks up 70 scrimmage yards Friday

Randall carried the ball five times for 25 yards and caught three of four targets for 45 yards in Friday's 41-3 preseason win over the Commanders.

After sitting out the Ravens' second preseason game due to an undisclosed injury, Randall got back onto the field for the exhibition finale and flashed his impressive athleticism when he got the ball in his hands. A 2026 fifth-round pick out of Clemson, the converted wide receiver could eventually be a threat to Justice Hill's passing-down role in the backfield, but Randall will need to prove to the coaching staff he can handle his pass-protection duties first.

  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Doesn't play due to injury

Head coach Jesse Minter told reporters that Randall (undisclosed) is "working through things physically," which is why the rookie fifth-rounder did not play in the Ravens' 13-3 preseason win over the Vikings on Saturday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.

The nature of Randall's injury is not clear, but the Ravens took the cautious route in holding the Clemson product out of Saturday's preseason contest. Randall's practice participation over the coming week will factor into whether he suits up for the Ravens' preseason finale against the Commanders on Friday. He is competing with Rasheen Ali (undisclosed) for Baltimore's RB3 job behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.

  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Leads ground attack in preseason win

Randall rushed 12 times for 46 yards and a touchdown and brought in one of two targets for two yards in the Ravens' 24-7 preseason win over the Eagles on Saturday.

Randall led the Ravens in rush attempts and rushing yards on the night, and he capped off an impressive pro debut with a four-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. The rookie fifth-round pick out of Clemson is fighting to carve out a depth running back role behind the top duo of Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, and given the long look he got Saturday, it seems evident the coaching staff sees plenty of potential in him. Randall should continue seeing plenty of action in Baltimore's second preseason game on the road against the Vikings next Saturday.

  • Ravens' Adam Randall: Picked by Ravens

The Ravens selected Randall in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 174th overall.

Randall (6-foot-3, 232 pounds) moved to running back last year after spending the prior three seasons at wide receiver, but for the entirety of the season Randall continued to look like something other than a running back. It's concerning that Randall was only vaguely productive as a runner (4.8 yards per carry), and it was all but admitted that Clemson moved him to running back because it wasn't working at wide receiver. With that said, Randall is a standout athlete for his build (4.50-second 40-yard dash, 37-inch vertical, 124-inch broad jump), so perhaps there is developmental potential there. Just don't be surprised if it eventually occurs at tight end rather than running back.
