Top Ryan Flournoy News

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Scores first career touchdown

Flournoy caught both of his targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-17 loss to the Cardinals.

Flournoy's touchdown was his first of the season and the first of his career. The second-year wideout played 45 of the Cowboys' 67 offensive snaps, operating as the No. 3 wide receiver behind both CeeDee Lamb (59) and George Pickens (61). Though Flournoy's 69 percent snap share matched a season high, his target share still left much to be desired. Since Lamb returned to action in Week 7, the 26-year-old Flournoy has failed to see more than two targets in a contest. With such limited usage, the Southeast Missouri State product should remain off the fantasy radar as Dallas heads into their Week 10 bye. Next up for the Cowboys is a road matchup against the Raiders in Week 11.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Meager role in Week 8

Flournoy finished with a seven-yard reception on two targets while playing 34 of the Cowboys' 74 snaps on offense in Sunday's 44-24 loss to the Broncos.

Flournoy predictably has seen his opportunities in the Dallas passing attack take a huge downturn following CeeDee Lamb's return to action in Week 7 following a three-game absence due to an ankle injury. With Lamb in the fold for the past two contests, Flournoy has been sharing the No. 3 receiver role with Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin, and has tallied just one reception.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Bumped down depth chart

Flournoy didn't see a target and played just 28 percent (19 of 67) of the offensive snaps for the Cowboys in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Commanders.

The return of CeeDee Lamb from an ankle injury cost Flournoy his route to fantasy value, as both Jalen Tolbert (49 percent of the offensive snaps) and KaVontae Turpin (30 percent) were on the field more often, although that duo combined for only two catches on three targets for 33 yards. The Dallas passing game is dominated by Lamb, George Pickens and tight end Jake Ferguson, and as long as they stay healthy, Flournoy and the rest of the depth wideouts figure to see very little target volume.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Can't follow up on breakout

Flournoy recorded three receptions on six targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Panthers. He added one rush for three yards.

Flournoy maintained a role in the Dallas pass-catching corps with both CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot). He couldn't follow up his breakout Week 5 performance, but Flournoy managed to finish third on the team in both targets and yards. He appears to be the preferred option over Jalen Tolbert in the offense, but Flournoy is likely to be rendered less relevant for fantasy purposes as the Cowboys' wide receivers get healthier.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Busts out for 114 yards in win

Flournoy caught six of nine targets for 114 yards in Sunday's 37-22 win over the Jets. He added 10 rushing yards on two carries.

With CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot) both unavailable, Flournoy stepped up to lead the Cowboys in receiving yards while topping the century mark for the first time in his career -- in fact, the second-year wideout's previous high was only 41 yards. It's not yet clear whether either Lamb or Turpin, or both, will be able to return in Week 6 against the Panthers, but Flournoy made a strong case Sunday to move up to the WR4 or even WR3 spot in the Dallas offense.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Three touches on SNF

Flournoy caught both his targets for 14 yards and added 12 yards on his only carry in Sunday's 40-40 overtime tie against the Packers.

With CeeDee Lamb (ankle) sidelined, Flournoy played 16 snaps on offense and saw multiple targets for a second straight game. Lamb has avoided being placed on IR so far despite a high-ankle sprain, but his absence is expected to last multiple weeks, meaning Flournoy should retain a role in the Cowboys' passing game for a Week 5 tilt against the Jets.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Makes first grabs of 2025

Flournoy caught two of three targets for 21 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bears.

CeeDee Lamb (ankle) was knocked out of the game early, giving Flournoy an opportunity to get his first targets, and make his first receptions, of the season. Lamb seems to have avoided a serious injury, but if he ends up sitting out a Week 4 clash with the Packers. Flournoy could have some appeal in deep PPR formats or as a DFS punt play.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Signs with 53-man roster

Flournoy signed with the Cowboys' 53-man roster Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Flournoy was elevated from the practice squad for the Week 1 loss to the Eagles, when he played 14 special-teams snaps. The 2024 sixth-round pick isn't expected to play much on offense in the Week 2 matchup versus the Giants.

  • Ryan Flournoy: Goes back to practice squad

Flournoy reverted to Dallas' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Flournoy played 14 snaps on special teams after the Cowboys elevated him for their season opener at Philadelphia, but now he'll head back to the practice squad until further notice. Dallas has just four healthy wide receivers on its active roster, so it wouldn't be shocking if they considered elevating Flournoy from the practice squad again in Week 2 versus the Giants.

  • Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Elevated for season opener

Flournoy was elevated from the practice squad ahead of Thursday's game against the Eagles.

If Flournoy suits up for Thursday's season opener, he could contribute on special teams and provide depth at wide receiver. Flournoy had just 10 catches for 102 yards in 11 regular-season games as a rookie in 2024.
