  • Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Shifts to IR

Dulcich (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

This isn't exactly a surprising development, as it was reported earlier this week Dulcich would miss "several weeks" with a hamstring injury. The earliest the second-year tight end is eligible to return would be a Thursday night Week 6 battle against the Chiefs. Expect Adam Trautman to see the vast majority of the tight end snaps in the absence of the 23-year-old Dulcich.

  • Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Officially ruled out

Dulcich (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Dulcich's absence this weekend comes as little surprise, given that Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com previously reported that the tight end was expected to miss several weeks with the injury he picked up in the Broncos' season-opening loss to the Raiders. As long as Dulcich is sidelined, Adam Trautman should operate as the Broncos' clear top tight end and potentially see added involvement in Denver's passing offense.

  • Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Logs another DNP

Dulcich (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Logging back-to-back DNPs to begin Week 2 prep isn't a surprise for Dulcich, who is expected to miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury. Last season, he was inactive seven times due to a hamstring issue (Weeks 1-5 and 17-18), so his upcoming absence doesn't necessarily have a firm timetable. Assuming the Broncos rule out Dulcich on Friday's practice report, the Broncos will turn to Adam Trautman, Chris Manhertz and potentially undrafted rookie Nate Adkins at tight end.

  • Broncos' Greg Dulcich: Sidelined Wednesday

Dulcich (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com previously reported earlier this week that Dulcich could miss several games, but the Broncos haven't yet formally ruled the tight end out for Sunday's game against the Commanders. That said, Dulcich's absence from practice Wednesday confirms that he's unlikely to play this weekend, and he'll most likely be ruled out ahead of the Week 2 matchup by Friday. On the plus side, head coach Sean Payton noted Wednesday that Dulcich was feeling better three days removed from sustaining his hamstring injury, adding that the Broncos' training staff "will do a great job of going through the correct rehab." While Dulcich is unavailable, Adam Trautman is in line to see added snaps and targets as the Broncos' clear top tight end.
