  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Makes most of decreased role

Wilson finished with two receptions on three targets for 52 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-19 loss to Atlanta.

WR Marvin Harrison (heel) returned to the starting lineup in Week 16 and pushed Wilson back into his usual No. 2 role on offense. The former saw only three targets in his return to the field while backup TE Elijah Higgins (7-91-0) surprisingly finished as Arizona's leading receiver Sunday. Wilson -- who was averaging 15.0 targets in games Harrison has missed this year -- made the most of his reduced opportunities by scoring a touchdown in the first quarter with the assistance of replay review. The 25-year-old Wilson's three targets are a concerning sign looking forward because the wideout has struggled to find the end zone with just two TDs (including Sunday's) in games Harrison has been active for. Wilson's upside takes a huge hit for Week 17, but he is still producing enough alongside Harrison to warrant starting consideration against the Bengals next Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Harrison back in lineup

Wilson may cede some targets to Marvin Harrison (heel) in the latter's return to the lineup Sunday versus the Falcons, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

The Cardinals are getting Harrison back following a two-game absence due to a heel injury, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday evening that the second-year wide receiver is expected to be eased back in, meaning Wilson should remain the team's top option at the position Week 16. With Harrison sidelined four times in the last five contests, Wilson has compiled a 44-535-3 line on 67 targets during that span.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Finds end zone again in Week 15

Wilson caught five of 11 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-20 loss to the Texans.

Once again, Wilson was one of Jacoby Brissett's favorite downfield options in a blowout loss. Marvin Harrison has missed four of the last five games due to appendicitis and a heel injury, and in all four of those contests Wilson has seen double-digit targets, posting a massive 41-499-3 line on 60 targets during Harrison's absences. Harrison is expected to return before the end of the year, but if he's out again in Week 16 versus the Falcons, Wilson will be a must-start fantasy asset.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Positioned as WR1 for Week 15

Wilson will operate as Arizona's top wide receiver versus the Texans on Sunday, with Marvin Harrison (heel) ruled out, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Wilson has dominated across the three games Harrison has missed since Week 11, finishing with double-digit catches and over 100 yards receiving in all three of those contests. Versus the Rams in Week 14, Wilson tallied a 11-142-2 line on 16 targets, with almost all of quarterback Jacoby Brissett's production being split between himself and tight end Trey McBride. While Wilson now faces a rough road matchup against Houston, Wilson seems assured of massive target volume for as long as Harrison is sidelined, making it difficult to consider him anything less than a WR1 for fantasy purposes.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Thriving in No. 1 receiver role

Wilson corralled 11 of 16 targets for 142 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Rams.

Wilson resumed the top wideout role for Arizona with Marvin Harrison (heel) back on the sidelines, and the results were the same as we saw in Weeks 11 and 12. The 25-year-old Wilson elevated his game for the third time in Harrison's absence, finishing with double-digit receptions in all three contests. Wilson completed the fantasy explosion with a pair of trips to the end zone, doubling the season total he entered Sunday's loss with. Harrison's Week 15 status is still uncertain, but Wilson should be treated as a WR1 in fantasy if the former misses next Sunday's matchup against Houston.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Heads injury-riddled WR corps again

Wilson's teammates Marvin Harrison (heel) and Greg Dortch (chest) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Wilson and Dortch both enjoyed spikes in production during Harrison's two-game absence, followed by steep declines in both targets and fantasy points when Harrison returned for last Sunday's 20-17 loss at Tampa Bay. With Harrison now out again, and Dortch joining him this time, the Cardinals are painfully thin at wide receiver behind Wilson. Even Xavier Weaver (questionable - hamstring) may not end up playing, in which case Andre Baccellia and various practice-squad promotions would be the favorites to take WR snaps alongside Wilson. It's a great situation to pile up targets, albeit against a tough defense that won't take Wilson lightly after his massive numbers in Weeks 11-12.

  • Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Targets plummet in Harrison return

Wilson secured three of seven targets for 36 yards in the Cardinals' 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Wilson had seen nearly a season's worth of work in the last two games with Marvin Harrison sitting out due to an appendectomy, with the former producing a 25-303-0 line on 33 targets. However, the third-year pro unsurprisingly saw a noteworthy reduction in opportunities with Harrison's return, although his target tally did tie for his highest of the season outside of the aforementioned pair of contests. Wilson likely will remain in a clear complementary role moving forward for as long as Harrison remains healthy, although he could have another solid target count in a Week 14 home showdown against the Rams.
