Saints' Mason Tipton: Limited in practice
Tipton (groin) was a limited participant in New Orleans' practice Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN reports.
Tipton popped up on the injury report Wednesday after producing his best performance of the season during last week's win over the Jets, catching four passes for 29 yards. If the 25-year-old is unable to play Sunday versus the Titans, Chris Olave, Kevin Austin and Dante Pettis would be left as the only healthy receivers on the active roster.

Saints' Mason Tipton: Logs four catches Week 16
Tipton totaled four receptions (on five targets) for 29 yards during Sunday's 29-6 victory versus the Jets.
Tipton stepped up as the Saints' WR2 due to Devaughn Vele (shoulder) going on IR. No. 1 receiver Chris Olave still outpaced the team's receiving corps by a significant margin with 10 receptions on 16 targets, and tight end Juwan Johnson was the true No. 2 receiving option with eight catches on nine targets. Quarterback Tyler Shough also had a massive performance with 308 passing yards on 49 attempts, which he's unlikely to repeat moving forward. Tipton's production should remain capped if he continues filling in as one of New Orleans' starting wideouts for the final two games of the regular season. The team will next play the Titans on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Saints' Mason Tipton: Suiting up Sunday
Tipton (illness) is listed as active Sunday against the Jets.
Despite missing practice Thursday and Friday due to an illness and entering the weekend as questionable, Tipton will be available to the Saints offense in Week 16. Since the team's Week 11 bye, he's started three of the last four games -- the first nods of his nearly two years as a pro -- en route to 10 touches (seven of them catches) for 53 yards from scrimmage and no TDs.

Tipton was a new addition to Thursday's injury report. The wide receiver should be able to practice Friday, and even if he is unable to, he will likely be ready to suit up for Sunday as long as his immune system recovers. However, if Tipton is sidelined, Dante Pettis and Kevin Austin may see an expanded role in the Saints' offense.

Tipton hauled in one of two targets for five yards and rushed once for minus-4 yards during Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.
Tipton started his fourth game in a row and played the second-most offensive snaps (55) among the Saints' wide receivers behind WR1 Chris Olave (58). Devaughn Vele, who's become the No. 2 wideout over the last five games, played 38 offensive snaps before exiting with a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter. Vele was also seen wearing a sling after the game, likely putting his availability for Week 16 up in the air. If he misses time, then Tipton should be the next man up in the pass-catcher hierarchy behind Olave and tight end Juwan Johnson. The Saints will next play versus the Jets on Sunday.

Saints' Mason Tipton: Sees zero targets in win
Tipton totaled zero targets during Sunday's 24-20 victory over the Buccaneers.
Tipton has moved into the WR3 role since the Saints let go Brandin Cooks three weeks ago. The 25-year-old logged exactly three catches on four targets in each of the previous two games, but he did not show up on the stat sheet versus Tampa Bay other than a 54-yard return on the opening kickoff. Quarterback Tyler Shough fell well below his average number of passing attempts with just 20 in Week 14. However, Tipton's playing time also took a hit, falling to 45 percent of the offensive snaps after playing 70-plus in each of the previous two contests. Tipton's limited role shouldn't warrant much, if any, attention from fantasy owners. New Orleans will next play versus the Panthers in Week 15.

Tipton reeled in three of four targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Dolphins.
Tipton recorded exactly three catches on four targets for the second week in a row. The 2024 undrafted wideout has moved into the WR3 position following the departure of Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks over the last couple of weeks. Tipton still finished fourth in targets behind Devaughn Vele (eight), Chris Olave (seven) and tight end Juwan Johnson (nine). Running back Devin Neal also tallied three targets. Tipton's usage should remain modest while operating at the No. 4 pass-catcher for the Saints moving forward. The team will be back in action in Week 14, versus the Buccaneers, on Sunday, Dec. 7th.

Tipton recorded three receptions (on four targets) for 22 yards during Sunday's 24-10 loss versus the Falcons.
Tipton logged season highs across the board, recording twice as many targets as he did over his nine appearances. The Saints sent away No. 2 wideout Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline before waiving veteran Brandin Cooks on Saturday. This moved Tipton to the WR3 spot behind Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele, as these two logged 13 and seven targets, respectively. The Saints' struggling passing offense probably cannot support consistent production for a No. 3 wideout, so Tipton's fantasy value will still be extremely limited. The second-year wideout will likely see similar usage in New Orleans' Week 13 matchup against Miami on Sunday.

Tipton suited up but did not play during Sunday's 26-21 loss to the 49ers.
The 2024 undrafted wideout served as New Orleans' fifth wideout once again, while 2023 sixth-round pick Trey Palmer was a healthy scratch for the second week in a row. Tipton also played zero offensive snaps in the regular-season opener, when he only saw the field for two snaps on special teams. The Saints traded for 2024 second-round pick Ja'Lynn Polk from the Patriots on Saturday, though he won't play for the team this season after undergoing shoulder surgery in August. Tipton led the Saints in receiving yards during his second straight standout performance during preseason play. The second-year undrafted wideout hauled in a 45-yard deep pass from Spencer Rattler just one week after collecting a similar 54-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Shough in the preseason opener against the Chargers. Tipton is competing to make the final 53-man roster for the second year in a row, so his continued ability to show up in the deep passing game should go a long way in securing him a spot, if not a larger role, heading into this regular season.

Tipton logged one reception (three targets) for 54 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 27-13 preseason loss to the Chargers.
Tipton was on the receiving end of New Orleans' biggest highlight play Sunday, breaking wide open deep before catching a pass in stride from quarterback Tyler Shough for a 54-yard touchdown in the third quarter. This was the second-year wideout's first target of the game, and he finished in a four-way tie for the fourth-most targets on the team Sunday. Tipton was one of the standout players from last year's preseason for the Saints, and he appeared in 11 regular-season games during his rookie season. He'll be competing with Kevin Austin, Dante Pettis and others for the team's final wide receiver spot heading into the 2025 campaign.
