Giants' Dominic Zvada: Misses three field goals in Week 5 tie
Zvada went 2-for-5 on field-goal attempts and made all three of his extra-point tries during Sunday's 27-27 tie with the Commanders.
Zvada made all 11 of his field-goal attempts through the first four games of the regular season, but he fell back to earth a little bit during Sunday's game. Granted, two of his misses came from 50-plus yards, though he also missed a 46-yard field goal in overtime that would have given the Giants a 30-27 lead. His chance for redemption never came due to a Cam Skattebo fumble that turned the ball over in what would have been in field-goal range for Zvada. The rookie kicker is 11-for-14 on field-goal attempts (including 5-for-7 from 50-plus yards) and 8-for-8 on extra-point tries through five games. The Giants will stay home for a Week 6 tilt against the Saints on Oct. 18.

Giants' Isaiah Likely: Two TDs among career-high 11 catches
Likely caught 11 of 13 targets for 94 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 27-27 tie against the Commanders.
Likely's career-high 11 receptions included a three-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter and a 17-yard touchdown reception in the fourth, which helped the Giants erase a 19-6 second-half deficit. The shifty TE has drawn double-digit targets in three of his first five games with the Giants, producing 33 catches for 284 yards and four TDs. Likely needs 193 receiving yards to match his 2024 regular-season career high from the third of his four seasons in Baltimore. He and Malik Nabers should continue to work as the Giants' top two pass catchers in Week 6 against the Saints.

Giants' Jameis Winston: Throws for 326 and three TDs
Winston completed 33 of 54 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 27-27 tie against the Commanders. He also rushed five times for 27 yards and lost a fumble.
The Giants struggled on the ground for most of the game and played from behind after Washington scored a touchdown two minutes into the game, so Winston racked up impressive volume, including 20 targets to Malik Nabers and 13 to Isaiah Likely, who had 11 catches apiece for a combined 215 yards and three touchdowns. Winston connected with Likely from three yards out in the third quarter before throwing a 17-yard touchdown apiece to Likely and Nabers in the fourth quarter as the Giants came back from a 19-6 second-half deficit. Both teams had a chance to win it in OT, but the Giants had a missed field goal and fumble in field-goal range, while Washington countered with a time-management snafu in the final seconds that resulted in a tie, which brings New York's record to 3-1-1 ahead of a Week 6 home game against the Saints.

Giants' Cam Skattebo: Loses key fumble in Week 5 tie
Skattebo rushed 13 times for 59 yards and caught two of three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 27-27 tie against the Commanders. He also lost a fumble.
After a quiet performance in regulation, Skattebo saved his best and worst moments for overtime. He racked up 40 of his 71 scrimmage yards in OT, but Skattebo fumbled on Washington's 24-yard line as the Giants were in range for a potential game-winning field-goal attempt. That mistake was matched by a clock-management error on the other end, which prevented the Commanders from attempting a game-winning field goal of their own prior to the end of OT. Skattebo will be motivated to atone for his fumble in Week 6 against the Saints' leaky run defense.

Giants' Malik Nabers: Productive on career-high 20 targets
Nabers caught 11 of 20 targets for 121 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-27 tie against the Commanders.
Nabers topped his previous career high of 18 targets, which came in Week 2 of his rookie 2024 season in what was also a road game against the Commanders. He caught a 17-yard touchdown with 1:43 remaining in regulation, and the ensuing PAT tied the game after the Giants had trailed by 14 earlier in the fourth quarter. Nabers also had a few near-misses, including two deep passes that hit his hands on the Giants' final drive of the first half, which ended with one of Dominic Zvada's three missed field goals in a game full of miscues from both teams. After posting just 96 scoreless yards through three games, Nabers has built momentum heading into a Week 6 home game against the Saints, with 233 receiving yards and two touchdown catches across his last two outings.

Giants' Colton Hood: Enters concussion protocol
Hood (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Commanders, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Hood has entered the NFL's five-step concussion protocol and will not be able to participate in full-contact practices or games until he has been cleared by an independent neurologist. Nic Jones will finish Sunday's contest at outside cornerback opposite Greg Newsome.

Giants' Jermaine Eluemunor: Questionable to return Sunday
Eluemunor (calf) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Commanders, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Eluemunor needed assistance off the field, and with the game nearing the end, it's possible he's done for the remainder of Week 5. If that's the case, Marcus Mbow would likely take over the rest of the way.

Nubin exited the fourth quarter of Sunday's game with a neck injury. It remains unclear how significant the injury is. Nubin also may not return to the contest simply because the game is almost over and a full evaluation may not be done in time.
