Aggies fall in 4OT
FINAL: Auburn 43, No. 15 Texas A&M 41
Auburn shocked Texas A&M in quadruple overtime after Texas A&M running back Amari Daniels failed to come down with an open 2-point conversion that would have tied the game. The Aggies came back from down 21-0 to force overtime, but two failed two-point conversions in the overtime periods ultimately cost them in the loss.
One player earlier, Auburn converted on its two-point conversion as quarterback Payton Thorne found KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who held onto the ball for dear life. Lambert-Smith finished with 104 yards, joining Cam Coleman as 100-yard receivers for the Tigers. With the win, Auburn can earn bowl eligibility with an Iron Bowl victory against Alabama next week.
For Texas A&M, the Aggies fail to clinch a spot in the SEC Championship Game after falling to 8-3. A trip to Atlanta will be on the line when the Aggies play against Texas in College Station.
