Aggies fall in 4OT

FINAL: Auburn 43, No. 15 Texas A&M 41

Auburn shocked Texas A&M in quadruple overtime after Texas A&M running back Amari Daniels failed to come down with an open 2-point conversion that would have tied the game. The Aggies came back from down 21-0 to force overtime, but two failed two-point conversions in the overtime periods ultimately cost them in the loss.

One player earlier, Auburn converted on its two-point conversion as quarterback Payton Thorne found KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who held onto the ball for dear life. Lambert-Smith finished with 104 yards, joining Cam Coleman as 100-yard receivers for the Tigers. With the win, Auburn can earn bowl eligibility with an Iron Bowl victory against Alabama next week.

For Texas A&M, the Aggies fail to clinch a spot in the SEC Championship Game after falling to 8-3. A trip to Atlanta will be on the line when the Aggies play against Texas in College Station.

Overtime in Auburn

End 4Q: No. 15 Texas A&M 31, Auburn 31

Texas A&M and Auburn are going to overtime after a wild fourth quarter. Auburn kicker Ian Vachon shook off an early miss to nail a 29-yarder with second remaining to force overtime. Auburn took an early 21-0 lead, but Texas A&M exploded for a 31-7 run, capped off by an eight-yard run by Amari Daniels with 4:01 remaining. However, Auburn marched down the field to force overtime at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed and Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne have each thrown for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns. The Tigers posted 436 yards to Texas A&M's 428 yards. Texas A&M will start overtime with the ball.

Oklahoma shocks Alabama

Final: Oklahoma 24, No. 7 Alabama 3

Another top-10 SEC team goes down. Oklahoma picked up its biggest win of the season Saturday by stunning Alabama and, in all likelihood, knocking the Crimson Tide out of the College Football Playoff race. Oklahoma's defense deserves a nice steak dinner. The Sooners logged three interceptions off of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. Linebacker Kip Lewis returned one of those 49 yards for a touchdown to give the Sooners their decisive three-touchdown lead. Oklahoma also held Alabama to its fewest points in a single game since 2004 against South Carolina.

This is also Alabama's largest loss since the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, and its biggest lost against an unranked opponent since 1998 versus Virginia Tech. Oklahoma, which advanced to 6-5, is headed to a bowl game for a third straight season under coach Brent Venables.

Boise State moves to 10-1

FINAL: No. 12 Boise State 17, Wyoming 13

It wasn't pretty, but Boise State moved to 10-1 with a 17-13 win over Wyoming. Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty finished with 169 rushing yards and ran for a 61-yard touchdown in the win. Jeanty eclipsed the 2,000-yard rushing mark this weekend to become the first FBS player with 2,000 rushing yards in a single season since 2019. Boise State improved to 7-0 in Mountain West play and will close the regular season out against Oregon State at home on Nov. 29.

The Broncos clinched a berth in the MWC title game with the win.

Things go from bad to worse for Utah

Start of 4Q: No. 22 Iowa State 24, Utah 13

Utes quarterback Isaac Wilson has exited the game with an apparent leg injury, putting a team that has experienced the devastation of injuries as much as any in college football (particularly at quarterback) at an even greater disadvantage. Cam Rising, Sam Huard and Brandon Rose are out for the year. Luke Bottari has come off the bench. Iowa State is still very much alive in the Big 12 Championship Game race. Still a quarter to play, but this one could get sideways.

Texas A&M fighting back

3Q: No. 15 Texas A&M 21, Auburn 21

Texas A&M went down 21-0 early in the second quarter, but the Aggies have taken control of the game since then. The Aggies have scored 21 unanswered points to get back in the game, capped off by a 73-yard touchdown pass from Marcel Reed to Noah Thomas for a touchdown. The Tigers mustered only 27 yards over their next three drives, though Auburn is driving with a chance to get back into scoring position.

Tide unraveling in Norman

3Q: Oklahoma 24, No. 7 Alabama 3

Alabama is in deep trouble against Oklahoma as the Crimson Tide just went down by three touchdowns at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe tossed a poor pass that was intercepted by linebacker Kip Lewis and returned 49 yards for a touchdown. The Sooners have nearly doubled Alabama in yardage, 256 to 134. Milroe has thrown two interceptions to set up a pair of Oklahoma touchdowns, including the pick-six.

Alabama trailing vs. Oklahoma

HALF: Oklahoma 10, No. 6 Alabama 3

Alabama's two-loss record is on the line as the Crimson Tide shockingly trail 10-3 on the road against Oklahoma. The Sooners have moved the ball at will on the ground, clearing 205 yards and a touchdown on the ground headlined by 95 yards from quarterback Jackson Arnold. Conversely, Alabama has mustered only 97 total yards in a putrid first-half performance.

If Alabama loses against 5-5 Oklahoma, the Crimson Tide will be likely eliminated from the SEC Championship Game and their College Football Playoff hopes will be on life support. The Sooners' only other SEC win this season came in a come-from-behind situation against Auburn. They have yet to win an SEC home game.

Boise State tied with Wyoming at halftime

HALF: No. 12 Boise State 10, Wyoming 10

No. 12 Boise State kicked a 24-yard field goal on the final play of the half to tie the game at 10. The Broncos jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the first quarter on a 61-yard touchdown run by Ashton Jeanty and knotted the game after forcing back-to-back punts. Boise State is in contention to earn an automatic bid to the 12-team College Football Playoff.

Pick six gives Utes the lead

2Q: Utah 10, No. 22 Iowa State 7

Utah's defense continues to show up in big moments despite an injury-riddled season that will not end with a run to a Big 12 championship. Lander Barton's pick six gets the Utes up on the Cyclones, and these are the types of plays they'll need to win this game. Utah can still get bowl eligible, and a defense battle is likely its surest path.

Alabama vs. Oklahoma caps off the night

No. 7 Alabama will put its College Football Playoff hopes on the line as the team travels to Norman for its first meeting against Oklahoma as SEC foes. With an 8-2 overall record and 4-2 mark in conference play, the Crimson Tide are in the thick of the SEC title race and cannot afford a loss. Meanwhile, Brent Venables' Sooners are in search of bowl eligibility and a signature win in their first year as an SEC member.

Arizona State wins

FINAL: No. 21 Arizona State 28, No. 14 BYU 23

The ending of the BYU-Arizona State game is something you don't see every day. Arizona State attempted to run out the clock by running backward and throwing an incomplete pass on fourth-and-long. After the video review showed one second left on the clock, BYU was granted one final play. BYU's Hail Mary attempt was completed at the 3-yard line, and ASU held on for a dramatic win. ASU moved closer to reaching the Big 12 title game with the win. ASU improved to 9-2 behind a monster performance from star running back Cam Skattebo, who ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Kansas downs Colorado

Final: Kansas 37, No. 16 Colorado 21

Call them the Spoilerhawks. At one point, Kansas was 2-6 without much hopes for a major turnaround. But, with Week 13's win against Colorado, the Jayhawks have now ripped off three straight victories against ranked opponents. They're the first team in FBS history with a losing record to win three straight against AP-ranked opponents. They're also a big reason why the Big 12 is so chaotic now, as each of the three teams Kansas downed -- Iowa State, BYU and Colorado -- were real contenders for the Big 12 Championship Game.

Army's push for a CFP bid continues vs. Notre Dame

Even the most outlandish preseason College Football Playoff projections failed to account for the possibility of two Group of Five teams making the field. Given the selection committee's track record of excluding deserving non-Power Four programs in the past -- 2017 UCF comes to mind -- it seemed almost unimaginable that the Group of Five would, or even could, exceed the one automatic bid its highest-ranked conference champion was effectively allocated when the new 12-team format dropped.

Well, fast-forward 13 weeks into the season and No. 19 Army has a chance to do something unimaginable. The Black Knights take on No. 6 Notre Dame inside Yankee Stadium, with a chance to start 10-0 for the first time in program history.

Texas can't shake Kentucky

4Q: No. 3 Texas 24, Kentucky 14

Texas can't quite pull away from Kentucky, which is only down 10 points with most of the fourth quarter to play. A pick six on a Quinn Ewers bobbled snap is what's keeping the Longhorns from enjoying a more comfortable lead. Complicating matters is an apparent ankle injury to Ewers, who is showing clear limitations moving. Could Arch Manning come in, or will Ewers gut through this? Texas just missed a field goal to make it a 13-point lead, so it's not clear sailing for this team.

Another big play from Arizona State's offense extends the lead

LATE 3Q: No. 21 Arizona State 28, No. 14 BYU 9

Arizona State has become one of the best stories of the 2024 college football season. The Sun Devils just extended their lead over BYU after quarterback Sam Leavitt connected with Xavier Guillory for a 61-yard touchdown. ASU was picked to finish last in the Big 12 preseason poll and could be on its way to a potential berth in the conference title game by winning out.

Hunter hits the Heisman pose again

Early 3Q: Kansas 23, No. 16 Colorado 21

Colorado star Travis Hunter is trying to single-handedly will the Buffaloes back against an upset-minded Kansas team. He just chipped away at the Jayhawk lead with a 26-yard touchdown reception, his second of the day. Hunter finished the play by hitting the Heisman Trophy pose in the end zone. Hunter has a game-high six catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns. He also has three tackles on defense.

Start of 3Q: No. 3 Texas 24, Kentucky 7

Minnesota pulling out all the stops against Penn State

Half: Minnesota 19, No. 4 Penn State 16

What a sequence for Minnesota. The Golden Gophers forced Penn State into a situation where it had to punt from its own 7-yard line. The ensuing boot was partially blocked by Minnesota's Derik LeCaptain and traveled just 14 yards to Penn State's 21-yard line. One play later, the Gophers executed a perfect double reverse flea flicker that ended in quarterback Max Brosmer throwing a touchdown to wide-open tight end Jameson Geers. This all came with less than 1:30 to play in the first half. Minnesota will receive the second-half kickoff.

Penn State then quickly marched down the field, aided by a big pass interference penalty, and came close to tying the game entering halftime when quarterback Drew Allar ran the ball in from four yards out. But Minnesota blocked the ensuing extra point and took it the other way for a very rare two points.

A nightmare close to the second half for Penn State's special teams.

Illinois secures wild win against Rutgers

Final: No. 25 Illinois 38, Rutgers 31

An attempt to ice the kicker turned into a heartbreaking loss for Rutgers against No. 25 Illinois, 38-31.

Trailing by one with 10 seconds remaining, the Illini were faced with a fourth-and-13 at the 40-yard line of the Scarlet Knights. Illinois initially lined up to attempt a 58-yard field goal that was called off by a Rutgers timeout; though it didn't count, the kick that went off was no good

But with more time to think about it, Illinois coach Bret Bielema changed his strategy and instead decided to go for a fourth-down conversion. The Illini got that, and a whole lot more, when quarterback Luke Altmyer hit wide receiver Pat Bryant for a 40-yard touchdown. Bryant, who caught the pass in the middle of the field with five defenders around him, made some nifty moves and used his speed to turn the edge towards the end zone.

Arizona State all over BYU

Late 2Q: No. 21 Arizona State 21, No. 14 BYU 0

The Sun Devils are making quite a statement in Tempe. They're also taking a huge step towards the Big 12 Championship Game with a hot start against a BYU team that, two weeks ago, looked like a runaway favorite to win the league. Arizona State do-it-all star Cam Skattebo just gave his team a three-touchdown lead with a 23-yard scoring run. That was Arizona State's second straight drive that ended in a Skattebo score. Arizona State pulled off a surprise onside kick, after taking a 14-0 lead, to net its latest touchdown.

Kansas trying to play spoiler again

Early 2Q: Kansas 17, No. 16 Colorado 0

There's nothing ranked teams hate more than the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas is looking for its third straight win against a top-25 team, and it's in really good shape against Colorado thus far. The Jayhawks took a three-possession lead off of a 9-yard run from Devin Neal, who jogged into the end zone completely untouched. Neal is having quite a day. Through less than 25 minutes of game time, he has two catches for 58 yards and one touchdown and nine carries for 23 yards and the latest score.

Florida stuns Ole Miss

Final: Florida 24, No. 9 Ole Miss 17

Florida stunned Ole Miss, and likely knocked the Rebels out of the College Football Playoff race, with one of Week 13's most stunning upsets. The Gators took their decisive lead with just under eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, courtesy of a 9-yard rushing touchdown from running back Montrell Johnson Jr. From there, Florida's defense locked things down. Ole Miss had three drives to either tie or take the lead. Two of them ended with a Jaxson Dart interception, including one thrown to Florida defensive back Bryce Thornton on the Rebels' final possession of the game. This is the second time that Ole Miss has lost to an unranked team as a double-digit favorite this season.

Penn State TE Tyler Warren is a player to watch

When Penn State offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki came to town, he quickly recognized tight end Tyler Warren as his new favorite player. Since then, Warren has emerged as the most versatile offensive player in the country. The senior has 67 catches for 808 yards and five touchdowns and another 157 yards with four touchdowns on the ground. Warren even snapped a ball that he later caught for a touchdown as an eligible receiver. Have fun watching him.

SMU cruising

4Q: No. 13 SMU 26, Virginia 0

SMU football is only 10 minutes away from clinching a spot in the ACC Championship Game after taking a commanding lead in Charlottesville. The defense has come to play, holding Virginia to only 135 yards and 1.7 yards per carry as the Cavaliers try to get bowl eligible. SMU quarterback Kevin Jennings has thrown for a touchdown and run for a touchdown, along with a 52-yard bomb to Moochie Dixon to set up another score in a dominant performance.

Buckeyes surging ahead

Early 3Q: No. 2 Ohio State 21, No. 5 Indiana 7

Indiana really could not have asked for a worse start to the second half. The Hoosiers sorely needed to flip momentum off of Ohio State's hot close to the second quarter. Instead, Indiana went three-and-out -- almost losing a fumble in the process -- and had to punt the ball away. Ohio State defensive back Caleb Downs fielded the kick off of a hop, spun away from one Indiana player and then took off down the field for a touchdown. Indiana's special teams have been particularly disastrous today, and now things are starting to spiral in Columbus.
