Broncos' Damarri Mathis: Will play vs. New Orleans
Mathis (ankle) is active for Thursday night's game against the Saints, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Mathis was activated from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's game, and the 2022 fourth-round pick will indeed suit up for the contest. He'll bring some much-needed depth to the Broncos' secondary due to Patrick Surtain being sidelined with a concussion.

Broncos' Damarri Mathis: Activated ahead of TNF
The Broncos have activated Mathis (ankle) from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Saints, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.

Broncos' Damarri Mathis: Full estimation Monday
Mathis (ankle) was listed as a full participant on Monday's practice estimation.
Mathis has yet to see the field this season after sustaining an ankle injury in late August. However, the third-year cornerback was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, and Monday's full practice estimation suggests he's nearing a return to the field. Mathis could very well be activated to Denver's active roster in time for Thursday's matchup against the Saints, as the Broncos will likely be without star corner Patrick Surtain (concussion).

Broncos' Damarri Mathis: Won't return Sunday
Mathis (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's preseason game against Arizona, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Mathis' status for the Broncos' regular-season opener against the Seahawks is also up in the air after he was carted off the field following his injury Sunday. If he weren't able to suit up, Riley Moss would be the likely candidate to serve as Denver's second starting corner opposite Patrick Surtain.
