  • Jalen Johnson PF | ATL

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Loaded stat line Friday

Johnson posted 19 points (9-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a block across 29 minutes in Friday's 128-81 win over the Hornets.

The Hawks looked dominant on both ends of the court and cruised to a 47-point victory -- and Johnson finished just two dimes and three boards shy of a triple-double despite playing under 30 minutes. Johnson also made his presence felt defensively with four steals-plus-blocks combined. It's only been two games, but Johnson is off to an excellent start in 2026-27 with 39 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists in his first two contests.

  • Ausar Thompson SF | DET

Pistons' Ausar Thompson: Exits to locker room Friday

Thompson (undisclosed) exited to the locker room in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Heat, Zachary Weinberger of ClutchPoints.com reports.

Thompson hobbled to the bench after an awkward fall and limped to the locker room shortly thereafter. He can be considered questionable to return until further notice.

  • Gui Santos SF | GS

Warriors' Gui Santos: Not starting Friday

Santos won't start Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Graham Ike will draw his first career start, pushing Santos to the second unit. The 24-year-old forward logged 25 minutes in Wednesday's season-opening loss to the Lakers, posting 12 points, five rebounds and one steal.

  • Graham Ike C | GS

    Warriors' Graham Ike: Starting Friday

Ike will start Friday against the Grizzlies, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg and Draymond Green will join Ike in the first unit for Friday's game. Ike was impressive in the Warriors' season opener, finishing with eight points, two rebounds, one assist, one three-pointer, one steal and one block in 12 minutes off the bench, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do in a starting role.

  • Grizzlies' GG Jackson: Starting Friday

Jackson will start Friday against the Warriors, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Jackson is getting the start with Cedric Coward (wrist) unavailable, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Ty Jerome, Jaylen Wells, Cameron Boozer and Zach Edey. As a starter last season, Jackson averaged 16.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.6 triples and 1.0 blocks per game on 50/39/77 shooting splits.

  • Cedric Coward SG | MEM

Grizzlies' Cedric Coward: Won't play Friday

Coward (wrist) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Warriors.

Coward will miss Friday's contest due to a left wrist sprain, and his next chance to suit up will come Sunday against Sacramento. With the 23-year-old swingman sidelined, Jerami Grant, Scotty Pippen, Cam Spencer and GG Jackson are all candidates for a bump in minutes.

  • Isaiah Stewart PF | MEM

Grizzlies' Isaiah Stewart: Available to play

Stewart (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Warriors.

Stewart is set to make his regular-season debut for the Grizzlies, and he should help back up Zach Edey and Cameron Boozer. With Stewart active, Quinten Post's minutes could dip.

  • Paolo Banchero PF | ORL

Magic's Paolo Banchero: Doubtful to return Friday

Banchero is doubtful to return to Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to a sore right ankle, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.

The Magic are currently down by 20-plus points with four minutes to go in the fourth quarter, so that may be impacting Orlando's decision to hold Banchero out of the remainder of the game. For now, Banchero should be considered questionable for Sunday's game in New York.

  • Jaxson Hayes C | UTA

Jazz's Jaxson Hayes: Not starting Friday

Hayes won't start Friday's game against New Orleans.

Hayes got the starting nod in Wednesday's season-opening loss to Memphis, posting five points, six blocks, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 26 minutes of action. However, the big man will come off the bench behind Jaren Jackson on Friday, with Ace Bailey entering the first unit.

  • Ace Bailey SF | UTA

Jazz's Ace Bailey: Moving to starting role

Bailey is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Bailey was productive coming off the bench in Wednesday's loss to the Grizzlies, posting 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 24 minutes. He's moving to a first-unit role, sending Jaxson Hayes to the bench. In 61 starts in the 2025-26 season, Bailey averaged 15.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest.
