No. 17 John Isner found himself in another marathon match on Friday when darkness interrupted the fifth set of his contest against No. 9 Marin Cilic. Isner's Wimbledon run came to an anticlimactic end when both players resumed play Saturday on Court 1. Cilic needed only two games and five minutes to defeat the American 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-7, 12-10 to advance to the fourth round.

Isner is five years removed from the longest match in tennis history, which took three days to complete -- an 11-hour marathon that saw him defeat Nicolas Mahut 70-68 in the fifth set on Court 18 at Wimbledon. This time around, Isner and Cilic were on court for just four hours and 21 minutes.

Cilic advances to the round of 16 where he will face another American in Denis Kudla.
