After Miami's Game 2 win, Mario Chalmers said he told LeBron James before the Heat's devastating run, "Lets go for the kill." Chalmers said James then told him "I'm with you."

That's pretty remarkable leadership for the little brother who the Heat constantly seem to berate and belittle. Chalmers has been a punching bag on the court for years, even after putting up 25 points in Game 4 vs. Oklahoma City. In Game 2, he had 19 points to lead Miami in its win to even the series headed to San Antonio.

For Chalmers to have that kind of confidence, even for him, with the best player on the planet? I asked Chalmers at the Heat's shootaround if he would have had that confidence two years ago when the Heat lost to the Mavericks in their first Finals run after "The Decision."

"Yeah, I think I would have said that, but I don't know how I would have said it to him. I didn't really know him that well. We were still forming a relationship. But now, I can say things in any way to him, I can talk to him about anything."

Must be nice to have the ear of the best player on the planet. But that's Chalmers, never lacking for confidence.
