Lakers guard Steve Nash passed Mark Jackson for third all-time in assists Thursday with this pass vs. the Rockets. The pass to Jodie Meeks gave Nash 10,335 assists for his career.
Nash passes Jackson who averaged 9.6 points and 8.0 assists for hsi career in 1,296 games.
In a sad but fitting conclusion, Nash said after the game that he reaggravated his hamstring injury and is probably done for the season. He would need over another 1,000 assists to catch Jason Kidd for 2nd with 12,091.
Nash has averaged 14.3 points and 8.5 assists for his career. He was a two-time MVP in Phoenix.
