Chris Jones: Let go by Cowboys
The Cowboys released Jones (abdomen) on Wednesday, The Dallas Morning News reports.
Jones was placed on injured reserve Nov. 7 after undergoing core-muscle surgery. It's uncertain if he's healthy yet, but the Cowboys ultimately chose to move on from Jones, saving $2 million in salary-cap space as a result. Jones has played 126 games for the Cowboys since his rookie season in 2011, averaging 44.5 yards per punt for his career.
