  • Seahawks' Marquise Goodwin: Signing with Seahawks

Goodwin will sign with the Seahawks on Sunday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

Goodwin opted out of the 2020 season but joined the Bears last year and secured 20 of 40 targets for 313 yards and a touchdown over 14 games. The speedy 31-year-old should compete for a role behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf (foot) and will be a deep threat for Seattle's eventual starting quarterback.

  • Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Two receptions in loss

Goodwin caught two passes for 13 yards in the Bears' 31-17 Week 18 loss to the Vikings, and he ended the season with 21 receptions for 313 yards and a touchdown.

When the Bears were dealing with injuries at wide receiver, Goodwin had a two-game stretch in which he totaled 104 yards and a touchdown, but otherwise, he averaged less than 20 yards per game over the rest of the campaign. In each year since 2017, he's failed to post 400 receiving yards, and the 31-year-old will likely remain a rotational player going forward. It's unlikely he'll be a consistent fantasy option unless his situation changes drastically. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

  • Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Fails to record reception

Goodwin was targeted twice but posted no statistics in the Bears' 29-3 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Goodwin has caught just two passes over the last three games, and he'll likely have very few opportunities to produce in Week 18 against the Vikings.

  • Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Ready for Week 17

Goodwin (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Giants.

Goodwin was added to the Week 17 injury report after he failed to practice Thursday due to the illness, but his return to the field Friday as a full participant clears the way for him to suit up Sunday. The wideout made his return from a three-game absence due to a foot injury in last week's win over Seattle, playing 22 snaps on offense (32 percent) and finishing with two catches for 23 yards on two targets. He could see a slight bump in his snap count Sunday now that the foot injury is further in the rear-view mirror.

  • Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Doesn't practice Thursday

Goodwin didn't participate in Thursday's practice session due to an illness.

Goodwin returned from a foot injury in Sunday's Week 16 matchup against Seattle and hauled in both of his targets for 23 yards. He fully participated in practice Wednesday but was unable to take the field Thursday. His participation in Friday's practice session could help reveal his status ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants.

  • Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Minor role in return

Goodwin caught two passes for 23 yards in the Bears' 25-24 win over the Seahawks on Sunday.

With Darnell Mooney and David Montgomery seeing more than half of Nick Foles' passing attempts, there was very little left to go around, and Goodwin was one of five Bears to see two or three targets. With four or fewer targets in all but one game he's played this season, he'll have the potential for a low-floor scoring performance in Week 17 against the Giants.

  • Bears' Marquise Goodwin: Back in action Sunday

Goodwin (foot) is listed as active Sunday at Seattle, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Goodwin set himself up for his first game action since Week 12 with back-to-back full practices to end the week. Now that it's official, he'll be a part of a receiving corps without Allen Robinson (COVID-19) and Jakeem Grant (concussion). Expect Darnell Mooney, Goodwin and Damiere Byrd to handle most of the WR reps for the Bears in Week 16.
