  • Broncos' Justin Simmons: Nabs interception in win

Simmons recorded five tackles (two solo), one interception and a forced fumble in Monday's 24-22 win over the Bills.

Simmons continued his solid 2023 campaign, recording his third interception through seven games. The veteran's five total tackles were also tied for the third-most among Denver defenders Monday. Simmons continues to be a difference maker on what is an improving Broncos defense. The 29-year-old safety will look to continue his role as a strong defensive contributor when the Broncos host the Vikings in Week 11.

  • Broncos' Justin Simmons: Doubles INT total Week 8

Simmons had two solo tackles, a fumble recovery and a 33-yard interception in Sunday's 24-9 win over the Chiefs.

Simmons was involved in two of Denver's five turnovers in the win. He scooped up a fumble by Marquez Valdes-Scantling that was forced by Josey Jewell and led to the Broncos scoring an 11-yard passing touchdown to Jerry Jeudy three plays later in the second quarter. Simmons picked off Patrick Mahomes late in the fourth quarter that allowed the Broncos to hold onto the ball until the end of the game. His two tackles Sunday was the lowest he has registered this season, but he played in 100 percent of the team's defensive snaps for the third time in the last four games.

Simmons (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.

It's not obvious at this point when Simmons picked up the injury or how severe it is. Either way, he'll probably need to return to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have a chance to play Sunday versus Kansas City.

  • Broncos' Justin Simmons: Picks off Mahomes on TNF

Simmons registered five tackles (all solo) and intercepted a pass in a loss to Kansas City on Thursday Night Football.

The safety has been nursing a hip injury but was able to line up for all of Denver's defensive snaps Thursday.

Simmons (hip) does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's game at Kansas City.

  • Broncos' Justin Simmons: Limited at practice Tuesday

Simmons (hip) was a limited participant at practice Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Simmons led Denver's safeties in defensive snaps Sunday versus the Jets, so it's likely that his limitations at practice are purely maintenance-related. He'll have one more chance to manage a full practice Wednesday before Thursday's game at Kansas City.

  • Broncos' Justin Simmons: Good to go for Week 5

Simmons (hip) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Jets, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.

Simmons hasn't played since Week 2, so his return will be a big boost to a struggling defense. He played 100 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the first two games, recording 14 tackles.
