Packers' Brandon McManus: Misses desperation kick during MNF
McManus missed his only field-goal attempt and made his only PAT in Monday night's 10-7 loss to the Eagles.
McManus had to wait until the final seconds of the game to attempt a field goal, shanking a 64-yarder after a poor snap as time expired in regulation. The kicker has now missed at least one field goal in three straight contests, though Monday's miss isn't overly concerning. McManus has now gone 11-for-17 on field-goal tries, including 2-for-4 from 50-plus yards, while making 16 of 17 PATs over seven games this year.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Set to kick in Week 10
Special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia announced Friday that McManus (right quadriceps) will serve as the Packers' placekicker Monday against the Eagles, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. "He's getting healthier, and he's had a pretty good week kicking the ball," Bisaccia said.
McManus logged a full practice Thursday for the first time since he tweaked his right quad during Week 6 prep, which initially led to back-to-back absences. He then was able to kick Weeks 8 and 9, but the results (4-for-7 FGAs, 4-for-4 PATs) were mixed during those contests. Even before suffering the injury, McManus was 7-for-9 on field-goal attempts and 11-for-12 on extra points, so his reliability still is in question. Having said that, he'll get the nod over Lucas Havrisik for a third straight game Monday.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Logs full practice Thursday
McManus (right quadriceps) was a full practice participant Thursday.
Three days removed from coach Matt LaFleur giving McManus a vote of confidence as the Packers' placekicker, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, McManus had no practice limitations for the first time since tweaking his right quad during Week 6 prep. Since sitting out Weeks 6 and 7, McManus hasn't exactly been crisp, making four of seven field-goal attempts and all four point-after tries. The Packers still have two kickers on their active roster -- also, Lucas Havrisik -- but it appears McManus will log a third consecutive appearance Monday against the Eagles.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Receives commitment from coach
Head coach Matt LaFleur said that he plans to stick with McManus as the Packers' placekicker for Monday's game against the Eagles, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Since returning to action Week 8 after missing two straight games due to a right quadriceps injury, McManus has struggled to return to top form. After missing a pair of field-goal attempts in the Packers' Week 8 victory over the Steelers, he had a costlier miss from 43 yards early in the third quarter of this past Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers. Though LaFleur acknowledged that McManus is still not 100 percent healthy, the Packers have been comfortable from what they've seen from the veteran kicker in practices over the past two weeks to make him available on game days. Provided he comes through with another solid week of practice, McManus looks like he'll be handling kicking duties for a third straight game Monday.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Costly missed field goal in loss
McManus went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and made his only PAT in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers.
McManus made field goals from 49 and 27 yards in the second quarter before missing a 43-yard attempt wide left at the conclusion of the team's first possession of the second half. The kicker has now gone 4-for-7 on field-goal tries over two games since returning from a quadriceps injury, and on the year he's gone a disappointing 11-for-16 overall through six games. While McManus was sidelined for Week 6 and 7, Lucas Havrisik went 4-for-4 on field-goal tries, including a franchise-record 61-yard make, while making all six of his PATs. It's unclear if the Packers would swap to Havrisik, who's still on the team's active roster.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Suiting up Sunday
McManus (right quadriceps) is listed as active Sunday against the Panthers, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
McManus managed a pair of full practices during Week 9 prep for the first time since he tweaked his right quad coming out of the Packers' Week 5 bye, but the team still listed him as questionable for Sunday's contest. Now that his status has been confirmed, he'll look to build upon the nine field goals (on 13 attempts) and 14 extra points (on 15 tries) that he's netted in five appearances this season, while Lucas Havrisik (coach's decision) again will be inactive.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Questionable for Week 9
McManus (right quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Panthers, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
After opening Week 9 prep with a limited practice Wednesday, McManus ended it with back-to-back full sessions, but the Packers will wait to make a decision on who will kick Sunday until about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. McManus returned from a two-game absence due to a right quad injury this past Sunday in Pittsburgh, but the results were uneven (2-for-4 FGAs, 3-for-3 PATs). Green Bay continues to carry two placekickers on the active roster (also, Lucas Havrisik), so whoever isn't on the inactive list between the two Sunday morning will be kicking in the afternoon.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Gets back to full Thursday
McManus (right quadriceps) practiced fully Thursday.
This marks McManus' first uncapped practice since he tweaked his right quad during the first practice of Week 6 prep. After missing two games due to the injury, he returned this past Sunday at Pittsburgh and connected on two of four field-goal attempts and all three point-after tries. The Packers now have two healthy placekickers on the active roster in McManus and Lucas Havrisik, but with McManus in the clear, he'll operate as the team's top option Sunday against the Panthers.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Limited Wednesday
McManus (right quadriceps) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.
McManus was cleared to kick this past Sunday in Pittsburgh for the first time since Week 4, but the results were tepid, as he missed his first two field-goal attempts from 57 and 44 yards. He made amends in the second half by connecting on both point-after tries and then a pair of much shorter FGAs (28 and 25 yards). The Packers continue to keep Lucas Havrisik on the active roster, but it appears McManus will handle placekicking duties on game days as long as the training staff clears him to do so.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Uneven performance in win
McManus went 2-for-4 on field-goal attempts and made all three of his PATs in Sunday night's 35-25 win over the Steelers.
McManus made his return to action after missing two games with a right quadriceps injury. The kicker appeared to be a little rusty in the first half, leaving a 57-yard field-goal attempt short before missing a 44-yarder wide left as time expired in the second quarter. McManus was able to rebound after the break, connecting on field goals from 28 and 25 yards in the fourth quarter. On the year, he's now gone 9-for-13 on field-goal tries, including 2-for-3 from 50-plus yards, while also making 14 of 15 extra-point attempts over five contests.

Packers' Brandon McManus: Retaining placekicking duties
McManus (right quadriceps) is active for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
McManus thus is putting an end to a two-game absence due to the right quad that he tweaked during Week 6 prep. He's slated to handle his usual placekicking duties Week 8 while his fill-in Lucas Havrisik is a healthy scratch. In four appearances this season, McManus has connected on seven of nine field-goal attempts and 11 of 12 point-after tries.
