Jack Cichy: Retires from NFL
Cichy (arm) retired from the NFL on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Cichy spent all four of his professional seasons with Tampa Bay, but he failed to make an appearance last season after playing in at least four games in each of his first three campaign. The Wisconsin product's NFL career was spoiled by injuries, most recently a broken arm during the 2021 campaign. The 2018 sixth-round pick finished his career with seven tackles across 16 appearances while mostly operating on special teams.

Buccaneers' Jack Cichy: Placed on IR
Cichy (arm) was placed on the Buccaneers' injured reserve list Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Cichy broke his arm in Sunday's win over the Saints, playing a special teams role for the majority of the contest. In a corresponding move, the team promoted linebacker Deone Bucannon from the practice squad.

Cichy has endured terrible injury luck during his football career dating back to his days at Wisconsin. The 24-year-old linebacker tore the ACL in his right knee in college and tore the ACL in his left knee during his rookie 2018 season. There's no clear timeline for his return, but he's out for the rest of the postseason. Cichy will be a restricted free agent in March.

Cichy came off injured reserve Nov. 28 after sitting out seven games due to a hamstring injury, but the Buccaneers seemingly did not like what they saw when the Wisconsin product retook the field.
