Panthers' Justin McCray: Placed on IR
McCray (calf) was placed on injured reserve by the Panthers on Friday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
The decision came after the left guard missed practice all week. The minimum injured reserve stay is four games and the Panthers have four contests remaining in 2023. The 31-year-old signed a one-year deal with Carolina in the offseason and made two starts for the team this season.

Panthers' Justin McCray: Won't be available vs. Falcons
McCray (calf) is listed as out for Sunday's game versus the Falcons.
McCray was not able to participate at practice at all during the week, so it comes as no surprise that he won't play Sunday. His being sidelined leaves Carolina remarkably thin on the interior of its offensive line for Week 15, with Ricky Lee probably the player best suited to step in at guard if something were to happen to one of starters Cade Mays or Nash Jensen.

Panthers' Justin McCray: Joins active roster
The Panthers signed McCray to their active roster Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The veteran offensive lineman has appeared in three games for the Panthers' this season, starting at left guard in Week 13. Over the course of his seven-year career, McCray has spent time with the Packers, Browns, Falcons, Texans and Panthers, making 30 career starts. He'll likely remain Carolina's starting left guard as the season progresses.

Panthers' Justin McCray: Signs deal with Carolina
McCray was signed by the Panthers on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McCray spent the past two years with Texans and logged two starts in 2022. The 30-year-old has played every position on the offensive line at some point in his career, and while it remains to be seen if he will have a chance to compete for a starting job this season, McCray will still bring solid value as a versatile blocker.

Texans' Justin McCray: Available Sunday
McCray (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
McCray missed the Week 14 clash versus Dallas as a result of a hamstring issue, but he's limiting his absence streak to just one game now that it's been revealed he's going to suit up this weekend against Kansas City.
