  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Signs tender from Denver

Reed signed his tender to remain with the Broncos on Monday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

The Broncos extended a right of first refusal tender to Reed on March 17, and after officially signing a contract, he'll make $2.4 million during the 2022 campaign. The 25-year-old has started 26 games since the start of 2020 and posted a team-high 13 sacks and three forced fumbles during that stretch. Reed figures to garner a similar role during the upcoming season.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Clears COVID protocols

Reed was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Reed was placed on the COVID list on Dec. 11 and missed the Broncos' last two games. As one of the biggest producers on the Broncos' defense, Reed's return should be a boost for not only their linebacker unit, but their defense as a whole. He'll look to make an impact in his return Sunday against the Raiders.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Placed on reserve/COVID-19 list

Reed (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.

Reed's absence Sunday against the Lions will leave a fairly significant hole in the Broncos' linebacker unit, especially with Bradley Chubb also questionable with a shoulder injury. The return of Micah Kiser (groin) lightens the blow, but the Broncos could be thin at the position Sunday.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Leads Denver in tackles

Reed recorded nine tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Eagles.

Reed's nine tackles were his most in a single game so far this season. The 25-year-old linebacker heads into the Broncos' Week 11 bye with 31 total tackles and four sacks. Reed will look to improve upon these totals in a Week 12 matchup against the Chargers on Nov. 28.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Active Sunday

Reed (hip) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Reed missed one game with the issue and Wednesday's practice this week as well. He put in two limited appearances to finish up Week 10 prep and will suit up against Philadelphia.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Gets questionable designation

Reed (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Eagles, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.

Reed logged limited practice sessions on consecutive days to finish the week before getting a questionable tag. Thus, he is looking like a true game-time decision. Jonathon Cooper would presumably be the next man up at linebacker should Reed end up getting ruled out.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Won't face Dallas

Reed (hip) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Reed was on a downward trajectory throughout the week, as he began without an injury designation before not being able to practice at all Friday. That makes it little surprise that he will be unable to suit up. Reed has logged four sacks this season, so the Denver pass rush will feel his absence. Jonathon Cooper is expected to step up in Reed's absence.

  • Broncos' Malik Reed: Questionable for Sunday

Reed (hip) is questionable for Sunday against Dallas, Troy Renck of Denver7 reports.

Reed was unable to practice Friday after logging a limited practice on Thursday, which isn't a good sign for his availability Sunday. If Reed is unable to play, Jonathon Cooper will likely step into a larger role.
