Top Dallas Goedert News

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Top receiver against Bucs

Goedert recorded six catches on 12 targets for 92 yards in Sunday's 31-15 wild-card round loss to the Buccaneers.

Goedert was one of the few Eagles who produced consistently throughout the game, and he led the team in most receiving stats. He found holes in the Tampa Bay secondary for several big plays, including catches that went for 28, 17 and 16 yards. The only thing missing from his performance was a trip to the end zone, with Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott instead tallying the team's touchdowns. Heading into 2022, Goedert figures to pair with DeVonta Smith as key members of Philadelphia's passing attack after he produced a career-high 830 receiving yards across 15 games during the 2021 campaign.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Back from COVID list

The Eagles activated Goedert (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.

Philadelphia returned all of its players on the virus list to the active roster ahead of Sunday's wild-card game in Tampa Bay, including three key skill-position players in Goedert and running backs Boston Scott and Jordan Howard. Along with Goedert, the Eagles also activated fellow tight end Jack Stoll, giving the team its top two options at the position in advance of the postseason. While Goedert and Stoll were sidelined Week 18, Tyree Jackson stepped in as the primary tight end in the Eagles' loss to Dallas, recording three receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown before exiting the contest with what was later revealed as a torn ACL. Goedert, meanwhile, was in isolation during the game and finished the regular season with 56 catches for 830 yards and four touchdowns across 15 appearances.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Still on COVID-19 list

Goedert (illness) remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Saturday's game against the Cowboys, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports

As does Jack Stoll (illness), which sets the stage for Tyree Jackson, Richard Rodgers and Noah Togiai to handle the Eagles' tight end duties Week 18. Goedert thus will look clear the NFL's COVID-19 protocols in advance of the team's postseason opener next weekend.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Officially on COVID list

The Eagles placed Goedert (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.

Goedert's placement on the list was expected after Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported earlier Monday that the tight end was one of a dozen Eagles players who were positive for the virus during the team's latest round of testing. In addition to Goedert, Jack Stoll, his top backup, also is on the COVID-19 list, temporarily leaving Tyree Jackson as the only healthy tight end on the Eagles' active roster. Goedert still will have a chance to exit the NFL's COVID-19 protocol prior to Saturday's game against the Cowboys so long as he shows diminished symptoms of the virus in the days to come.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Tests positive for virus

Goedert is one of roughly 12 Eagles players who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Assuming the Eagles are able to verify his positive test result, Goedert is expected to go on the reserve/COVID-19 list before the team resumes practicing Tuesday ahead of Saturday's regular-season finale against the Cowboys. Due to the NFL's updated COVID-19 return-to-play protocols that allows players who test positive to rejoin their teams in shorter periods of time, Goedert still could have a chance to suit up Saturday. The tight end has taken on a heightened role in the Philadelphia passing attack over the team's past four games, generating a 21-339-2 receiving line on 26 targets.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Gets involved again

Goedert recorded six receptions on seven targets for 71 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over Washington.

Goedert has fluctuated between being Jalen Hurts' favorite target and hardly being a part of the offense in recent weeks. He served in the former role Sunday and led the team in targets, yards and receptions. His performance was highlighted by four gains of more than 10 yards, with the only thing missing being a trip to the end zone. If Goedert is able to tally three catches in Week 18 against Dallas, he'll set a new career high for catches in a campaign. He currently has 56 grabs on the season.

  • Eagles' Dallas Goedert: Limited to two grabs

Goedert secured two of four targets for 28 yards in the Eagles' 34-10 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Goedert's final line would have looked a lot better had he not had a 21-yard touchdown grab early in the third quarter been nullified by a holding penalty on Quez Watkins. The fourth-year tight end was coming off back-to-back 100-yard efforts, so to label his downturn Sunday as particularly disappointing, not to mention ill-timed, would be an understatement. Goedert will still have a chance to come through for fantasy managers in league championship games in a Week 17 road battle against Washington.
