Chase Winovich: Announces retirement
Winovich announced his retirement from the NFL after five seasons Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Winovich was selected in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Patriots and will now hang up his cleats after a five-year career. The linebacker compiled 107 tackles, including 12 sacks, while forcing a fumble and intercepting a pass over 56 contests between New England, Cleveland and Miami.

Texans' Chase Winovich: Returns to field
Winovich (undisclosed) was activated from the active/PUP list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Winovich has been on the PUP list since July 25, but he'll now be able to rejoin his team for practice. The 28-year-old is in his first season with the Texans after a one-year stop in Cleveland. He'll be working to earn a rotational role in Houston's front seven.

Texans' Chase Winovich: Lands on active/PUP list
The Texans placed Winovich (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Tuesday.
The severity of Winovich's injury remains unclear, but he's eligible to practice and/or play at any point during the preseason. The 2019 third-round pick signed a one-year deal with the Texans this offseason after tallying 20 tackles and one sack across eight games in his lone campaign with Cleveland last year.

Texans' Chase Winovich: Lands with Houston
The Texans and Winovich agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $2.75 million Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After having spent three years with the Patriots and one season in Cleveland, Winovich is now set to pursue his fifth NFL campaign with the Texans following Monday's development. The 27-year-old defensive end tallied 20 tackles and one sack across eight games in 2022.
