Allen (calf) has been participating in OTAs, Cameron DaSilva of the USA Today reports.
Allen was placed on injured reserve in December due to a strained calf, but is now past the issue and participating in OTAs. The 27-year-old appeared in seven games (all starts) during the 2022 campaign and should have the opportunity to reclaim his role as the team's top center this coming season.

Rams' Brian Allen: Done for the year
Allen is now slated to miss the remainder of the season as a result of the strained calf he suffered Monday night against Green Bay, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Allen departed the Rams' Week 15 contest versus the Packers on just the second play from scrimmage with what has since been revealed as a season-ending calf strain. In the 303-pounder's absence, Oday Aboushi stepped in at right guard while Coleman Shelton slid over to center.

Allen (thumb) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Allen has now failed to practice in any capacity throughout the last two weeks, and he'll miss this weekend's matchup in Kansas City to nobody's surprise. Coleman Shelton is in line to serve as Los Angeles' starting center in Week 12.

Allen didn't practice at all during Week 11 prep due to a thumb injury, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out. In his absence, Coleman Shelton will likely operate as the Rams' starting center against New Orleans.

Rams coach Sean McVay said that Allen (knee) will not play against the Panthers on Sunday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Allen has yet to play in 2022 after undergoing knee surgery Sept. 10, and the Rams will now be without their starting center for the sixth game in a row. McVay did not indicate who would start in place of Allen in Week 6, per Barshop, though it's likely that Jeremiah Kolone will step in once again after getting the starting nod against Dallas on Sunday.
