Hansen played all 71 of Houston's defensive snaps in Week 3 versus Indianapolis but picked up a knee issue along the way. He logged an LP/LP/FP practice progression this week and was handed a designation of questionable heading into the weekend. Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Hansen is expected to start and call defensive plays for the Texans on Sunday in the absence of Azeez Al-Shaair (groin).

Hansen was carted off the field at the start of training camp in late July with an ankle issue. The linebacker was listed as week-to-week as he managed the injury and has finally recovered just in time for the Texans' Week 1 showdown with the Bills.

Hansen (ankle) is considered week-to-week, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Hansen was carted off the field Thursday due to the issue, and it seems it will be an elongated recovery period for the 28-year-old. If the linebacker cannot sustain his standard of play once he returns, his special-teams snaps may be earned by other players such as rookies Wade Woodaz or Aiden Fisher.
