  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Limited in NFL debut

Stowers failed to haul in his lone target during Monday's 38-21 loss to Dallas.

The rookie second-rounder was activated from injured reserve ahead of Monday's contest after missing the first six games of the regular season due to quad and hamstring injuries that he picked up during training camp. He played a total of 21 snaps (12 on offense, nine on special teams) in his NFL debut, but his lone target from Tanner McKee came within the last two minutes of the fourth quarter, when the game was well out of reach for Philadelphia. Stowers will likely be limited to TE3 duties behind Dallas Goedert and Johnny Mundt for the time being.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Available for NFL debut

The Eagles reinstated Stowers (quadriceps/hamstring) from injured reserve ahead of Monday's game against the Cowboys.

Philadelphia had listed Stowers as questionable for the contest, but after bringing him back from IR, the rookie second-round pick out of Vanderbilt will be available to make his NFL debut after sitting out the team's first six games of the season. With Grant Calcaterra (back) also being reinstated from IR, the Eagles now have four tight ends on the 53-man roster. Dallas Goedert should be locked into a sizable snap share as the Eagles' starting tight end, while Calcaterra and Johnny Mundt function mainly as blockers at the position and Stowers provides more of a pass-catching presence. Stowers' receiving skills could come in handy while the Eagles are down their top two wideouts in DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) on Monday.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Tagged as questionable to return Week 7

Stowers (quadriceps), who is on injured reserve, is officially questionable to play Monday against Dallas.

After being drafted in the second round of April's NFL Draft, Stowers hurt his hamstring during preseason play and began the campaign on IR. The Eagles opened his 21-day practice window Oct. 14, and the rookie practiced in full all three days this week. Both Stowers and fellow tight end Grant Calcaterra (back) could be ready to return from IR ahead of Monday's matchup, but for that to happen, they'd need to be activated to the 53-man roster at some point this weekend.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Full practice Thursday

Stowers (quadriceps) was a full participant at the Eagles' practice Thursday.

Stowers has been on injured reserve since Sept. 12 while recovering from a pair of hamstring and quadriceps injuries. The tight end had his 21-day practice window opened Oct. 14, and his ability to open the week with a full practice is a good sign for his chances to return to action Monday night against Dallas.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Ruled out for Week 6

The Eagles downgraded Stowers (quadriceps) to out for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Stowers will have to wait at least another week before making his regular-season NFL debut after he had his 21-day practice window opened earlier this week. Stowers should see snaps as a catch-first tight end behind Dallas Goedert once he's ready to return to game action.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Chance to make NFL debut vs. Carolina

Stowers (quadriceps) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

The rookie second-rounder was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 1 due to a quadriceps injury. He opened Week 6 prep with back-to-back limited practices before logging a full session Friday, but he wouldn't be eligible to make his NFL debut unless he's activated from IR on Saturday.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Officially limited Wednesday

Stowers (quadriceps) was a limited participant at the Eagles' practice Wednesday.

Stowers officially made his return to practice Wednesday as continues to recover from a quadriceps injury that has sidelined him for the first five weeks of the 2026 campaign. The tight end was previously also dealing with a hamstring issue, but he appears to have moved past that injury. Stowers will have two more chances to log a full practice before potentially making his NFL regular-season debut against the Panthers on Sunday.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Back at practice Wednesday

The Eagles opened the 21-day practice window for Stowers (quadriceps/hamstring) on Wednesday.

Stowers has yet to play this season while tending to multiple injuries. While he still has some hurdles to clear, it appears he has a shot to suit up in Week 6 versus Carolina or Week 7 against Dallas.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Moves to injured reserve

The Eagles placed Stowers (quadriceps/hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday.

Stowers has been dealing with a hamstring injury since at least Aug. 24, which limited him in all three Week 1 practices before the Eagles tabbed him as questionable for Sunday's season opener against the Commanders. At the same time the team placed him on IR, he was ruled out with not only the hamstring issue but a quad concern. The rookie second-round pick thus will miss at least the first four games of the campaign, allowing Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins to handle the TE reps that don't go to No. 1 option Dallas Goedert.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Status in question for Week 1

Stowers (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Commanders.

Stowers is about two-and-a-half weeks removed from picking up a hamstring injury, but his ability to log three straight limited sessions this week has put him in position to make his pro debut Sunday. Ultimately, his status will become known, one way or another, about 90 minutes before a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Another limited session

Stowers (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.

Stowers emerged from preseason Week 2 with a hamstring injury, which sidelined him until this Wednesday. So far during Week 1 prep, the rookie second-round pick has logged back-to-back capped sessions, but even if he's cleared of his health concern ahead of the Eagles' season opener against the Commanders this Sunday, there's a chance he's a healthy scratch, as Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reported on Aug. 26. In such a scenario, Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins would be the available tight ends behind starter Dallas Goedert.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Limited to open Week 1 prep

Stowers (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

The rookie second-rounder has been working through a hamstring injury since the tail end of training camp, which prevented him from playing in the Eagles' preseason finale against the Bengals on Aug. 28. Stowers will have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation and avoid an injury designation for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Commanders. The Vanderbilt product figures to operate in a depth role at tight end this season behind Dallas Goedert, with Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins also in the mix for snaps on offense.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Could be healthy scratch on Sundays

Stowers (hamstring) may not be active on gamedays even if he returns to health before the start of the regular season, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.

The second-round pick reportedly had a quiet training camp even before his recent absences with a hamstring injury. He's caught three of five targets for 12 yards in two preseason appearances, and it looks like he may now open his career fourth on the tight-end depth chart. The Eagles also have veterans Johnny Mundt and Grant Calcaterra (back) competing for snaps behind veteran starter Dallas Goedert. Any hope for Stowers having Year 1 fantasy value entails Goedert missing time, though it sounds like that alone might not do the trick with Mundt and Calcaterra also in the mix to provide superior blocking and experience.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Dealing with hamstring issue

Stowers (hamstring) won't practice Monday, Martin Frank of The Delaware News Journal reports.

Per Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Stowers appeared to get banged up during Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots. The tight end thus falls into the day-to-day category as Friday's preseason finale against the Bengals approaches. Once healthy, the 2026 second-rounder is poised to work behind top TE Dallas Goedert, a role that may not initially involve steady volume for the rookie, but one that could grow in the event that Goedert misses any time this season.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Blanked on two targets

Stowers failed to bring in either of his two targets in the Eagles' 24-21 preseason loss to the Patriots on Saturday.

Stowers was on the field with the starting offense and saw his first target from Andy Dalton on third down during the Eagles' opening possession. The rookie second-round pick was blanked on the night Saturday, but he made three receptions in the exhibition opener against the Ravens and remains second on the unofficial tight-end depth chart behind Dallas Goedert heading into the preseason finale at home against the Bengals on Friday night.

  • Eagles' Eli Stowers: Three catches in preseason loss

Stowers brought in all three targets for 12 yards in the Eagles' 24-7 preseason loss to the Ravens on Saturday.

The rookie second-round pick took advantage of all three opportunities he saw, leading to a solid professional debut. Stowers is currently listed as the No. 2 tight end on the Eagles' first unofficial depth chart, and Saturday's performance seemingly did nothing to hurt that standing.
