Vikings' Charles Demmings: Won't play vs. NOLA
Demmings (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Demmings was able to log two-straight limited practices to end Week 5 prep. However, the rookie fifth-rounder will miss a second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury he picked up against the Buccaneers in Week 3. Demmings has mostly contributed on special teams this season, but his absence leaves Zemaiah Vaughn as the top rotational option at cornerback behind James Pierre and Isaiah Rodgers. The Vikings are on a bye for Week 6, so Demmings' next chance to play is Week 7 against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 25.

Demmings (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Demmings has been unable to practice since sustaining a hamstring injury in the Vikings' Week 3 win over the Buccaneers. The reserve cornerback will miss Week 4 and likely beyond due to the persistent injury.

Vikings' Charles Demmings: Will miss some time
Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Demmings will miss some time due to a hamstring injury, Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Demmings injured his hamstring during the second half of Sunday's win over the Buccaneers and is now expected to miss the Week 4 matchup versus Miami, at minimum. The rookie fifth-round pick failed to record any tackles across his first three outings and should continue to serve a depth role once healthy.

The Vikings selected Demmings in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 163rd overall.
Demmings (6-foot-1, 193 pounds) heads to Minnesota after five years at Stephen F. Austin, serving as a starter for the final 3.5 seasons. He never recorded more than 18 tackles in a season, but he piled up 39 pass breakups and eight interceptions over 32 games through his final three years. With a 4.41 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Demmings has the tools and experience to develop into a starter in the NFL, and his physicality should provide an immediate boost on special teams.
