Texans' Tavierre Thomas: Re-signs with Houston
The Texans re-signed Thomas on a one-year, $3 million deal Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Thomas appeared in just 10 games last season, spending the first seven weeks on IR with a quadriceps injury. The veteran corner finished the season with 41 tackles (23 solo), one pass defensed and two forced fumbles. Thomas will likely find himself in a rotational role once again heading into the 2023 campaign.

Thomas spent the first seven weeks of the season on Houston's IR with a quadriceps injury before being designated to return to practice last Wednesday. Texans' Tavierre Thomas: Finishes off Chargers
Thomas had a 48-yard interception return for a touchdown in Sunday's 41-29 win over the Chargers.
The Chargers and quarterback Justin Herbert were down by nine with under two minutes left and attempting to get a score-onside kick recovery-score sequence to save their flagging playoff hopes when Thomas registered the first pick-six of his career. It was the second interception of the season for Thomas, who has emerged with a significant role in the Texans' secondary.
