Saints' Charlie Smyth: Converts game-winning kick
Smyth went 2-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made both of his PATs in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.
Smyth was elevated from the practice squad to serve as the Saints' starting kicker for the third straight week, making field goals from 42 and 47 yards in the second half, the latter of which gave New Orleans the lead with two seconds left in regulation. The rookie has now gone 4-for-5 on field-goal tries, including a successful 56-yarder, over three contests with the Saints this season.

Saints' Evan Hull: Four touches as fellow RB gets hurt
Hull rushed four times for 12 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.
Hull and Audric Estime were the only options remaining at running back after Devin Neal (hamstring) exited in the second quarter. Estime finished with 50 scrimmage yards on three carries and three targets. Hull and Estime would likely share backfield work in Week 16 against the Jets if the Saints don't get Neal or Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle) back.

Saints' Audric Estime: Splits with Hull after Neal injury
Estime rushed three times for 11 yards and caught all three of his targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.
Estime and Evan Hull (four carries for 12 yards, no targets) took on larger roles after Devin Neal (hamstring) exited in the second quarter. If neither Neal nor Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle) return in Week 16 against the Jets, Estime and Hull would be in line for expanded roles. Estime had only three carries all season coming into Sunday's win.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Another four-catch outing
Johnson caught all four of his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.
Johnson has made at least four catches in five consecutive games, though his 30 receiving yards Sunday marked Johnson's lowest total since Week 6. He ranks second on the team in catches and receiving yards behind Chris Olave. Johnson is likely to maintain his steady pass-catching role in Week 16 against the Jets.

Saints' Tyler Shough: Throws for 272 yards, TD in win
Shough completed 24 of 32 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers. He also rushed eight times for 32 yards.
Shough's only touchdown of the game was a clutch one, as he connected with Chris Olave for the game-tying score with 2:29 remaining. The rookie quarterback then guided the Saints into position for Charlie Smyth's game-winning 47-yard field goal, which Shough helped set up by drawing a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty on a scramble during the Saints' penultimate offensive play. Spencer Rattler came in for the next play while Shough was evaluated on the sideline, but Shough was available to speak to the media after the game, suggesting Shough should be fine to take on the Jets in Week 16.

Saints' Chris Olave: Game-tying TD among six catches
Olave caught six of nine targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers.
Olave recorded a 12-yard touchdown reception with 2:29 remaining in the fourth quarter. The ensuing PAT tied the game, and Saints kicker Charlie Smyth tacked on the game-winning 47-yard field goal with two seconds left. Working as New Orleans' clear No. 1 wide receiver, Olave has reached 50 receiving yards or scored a touchdown in all but one game this season. He'll likely maintain a prominent role in Week 16 against the subpar Jets secondary.

Saints' Devaughn Vele: Arm in sling after Week 15 win
Vele (shoulder) had his left arm in a sling after Sunday's 20-17 win over the Panthers, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Vele exited due to a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter after catching five of six targets for 69 yards. The wide receiver needed a sling after the game, suggesting he's fighting an uphill battle to be ready to face the Jets in Week 16, but more clarity on Vele's status should surface when the Saints resume practicing Wednesday.

Saints' Cesar Ruiz: Suffers ankle injury
Ruiz (ankle) is questionable to return to New Orleans' matchup versus the Panthers on Sunday.
Ruiz sustained the injury in the second half, making his status for the remainder of the game uncertain. Dillon Radunz should fill in at right guard if Ruiz ends up being unable to return to Sunday's matchup.

Saints' Devaughn Vele: Injures shoulder in Week 15
Vele sustained a shoulder injury during Sunday's game versus the Panthers.
Prior to his exit early in the fourth quarter, Vele had recorded five catches (on six targets) for 69 yards. In Vele's absence, the Saints are left with Mason Tipton, Dante Pettis and Kevin Austin at wide receiver behind top option Chris Olave.

Saints' Devin Neal: Ruled out Sunday
Neal (hamstring) won't return to Sunday's game against the Panthers.
The Saints already have been without top RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle) for what is now three straight contests, and Neal, his fill-in during that span, has been ruled out for the rest of Week 15. Neal thus will finish Sunday with seven carries for 28 yards and one touchdown and one catch (on one target) for four yards. Evan Hull and Audric Estime will be New Orleans' backfield options in the absences of Kamara and Neal.

Saints' Devin Neal: Hurts hamstring Sunday
Neal sustained a hamstring injury during Sunday's contest versus the Panthers.
After scoring a four-yard TD run in the second quarter, Neal was seen going to the locker room before the Saints announced that he was questionable to return. He's been helming the Saints backfield during Alvin Kamara's (knee/ankle) ongoing three-game absence, and if Neal isn't able to retake the field Sunday, Evan Hull and Audric Estime will be the RBs available to the offense.

Saints' Justin Reid: Won't play Week 15
Reid (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Reid was given the questionable tag for Week 15 after logging a limited practice Friday, but he'll end up missing a second consecutive game due to a knee injury. Jordan Howden will likely start at safety alongside Jonas Sanker in Reid's absence.
