Colts' Josh Downs: Continues clicking with Rivers
Downs brought in five of nine targets for 65 yards in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night. He also rushed once for three yards.
Downs led the Colts in receptions and tied Tyler Warren for the team lead in targets, once again displaying some solid chemistry with Philip Rivers after catching the latter's first touchdown pass since the 2020 season in Week 15. Downs has drawn a total of 14 targets over his first two games working with the veteran signal-caller, and he's likely to be busy again in a Week 17 home matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Colts' Josh Downs: Catches TD from Rivers
Downs caught three of five targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Seahawks.
Downs caught Philip Rivers' first touchdown pass following a five-year layoff on an eight-yard connection in the second quarter. Outside of scoring the only touchdown for either team, Downs had another quiet performance as Rivers threw for only 120 yards. Following Daniel Jones' season-ending Achilles injury, the Colts' passing game has lost most of its fantasy appeal heading into a MNF home game against the 49ers on Dec. 22.

Colts' Josh Downs: Catches four passes vs. JAX
Downs caught four of five targets for 23 yards during the Colts' 36-19 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
Downs' four catches were his most since Week 9 against the Steelers, and he finished third in both catches and receiving yards behind Alec Pierce (five catches for 80 yards) and Michael Pittman (nine catches for 79 yards). Downs has just eight receptions (on 17 targets) over his last three games, and his fantasy floor figures to be lower for the rest of the season after Daniel Jones tore his right Achilles during the first quarter of Sunday's loss. With Anthony Richardson (eye) on injured reserve and no timeline for a return, the Colts will turn to rookie sixth-rounder Riley Leonard for the home stretch of the 2025 regular season, starting with a Week 15 road clash against the Seahawks on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Colts' Josh Downs: Returns to full practice
Downs (hip/knee) practiced fully Thursday.
Downs was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, but his return to a full session a day later paves the way for the wideout to be available Sunday against the Jaguars. He's caught two of his six targets (for a combined total of 54 yards) in each of his last two games and overall has recorded a 40-370-3 line on 60 targets in 11 games to date, a rate of production that gives him a degree of fantasy utility in an Indy passing offense that also features fellow WRs Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman and TE Tyler Warren.

Colts' Josh Downs: Deemed DNP on practice estimate
Downs (hip/knee) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.
With Downs logging a DNP in Wednesday's walk-through as he contends with hip and knee issues, the wideout's status is now worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Jaguars approaches. In each of his last two games, Downs has caught two of his six targets for a combined total of 54 yards in that span.

Colts' Josh Downs: Two receptions in loss
Downs caught two of six targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Texans.
Downs was limited to two or fewer catches for a third straight week, though he did lead the team in targets versus Houston. The wide receiver has now reeled in five of 14 targets for 57 yards without finding the end zone over the last three games. Downs hasn't exceeded 57 receiving yards in any of the 11 contests he's played in this year, limiting his ceiling greatly from a fantasy perspective.

Colts' Josh Downs: Just two receptions in loss
Downs had two receptions for 10 yards on six targets in Sunday's loss at Kansas City.
Downs again took a back seat to Michael Pittman and Tyler Warren (five receptions each) in the intermediate passing game. After recording touchdowns in three consecutive games, Downs has just three receptions for 13 yards his last two games. He'll face a tough matchup against a stout defense next week against Houston.
