Daulton Varsho CF | HOU
Astros' Daulton Varsho: Homers in Sunday's loss
Varsho went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Padres.
Varsho's first homer as an Astro put them ahead 2-0 in the top of the second inning. His blast was the last baserunner Houston would have in the game, as San Diego's pitching staff retired the next 22 batters in order. Varsho has gone 3-for-21 with a 4:5 BB:K across his first six contests with his new team after he was dealt from Toronto at the trade deadline. On the year, the outfielder is batting .237 with a .675 OPS, eight homers, 28 RBI, 41 runs scored, 19 doubles, two triples and 10 stolen bases through 105 games.

Hays went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Astros.
Hays signed with the Padres earlier Sunday. He didn't get the start, but he delivered a two-run shot while pinch hitting for Gavin Sheets in the eighth inning. Hays is likely to fill a short-side platoon role in the outfield during his time with the Padres. He is batting .250 with a .676 OPS, two homers, nine RBI, four runs scored, one double and no stolen bases over 13 games between the Padres and the White Sox this season, and he had a .779 OPS over 20 games with Triple-A Charlotte before the White Sox released him.

The outfielder is batting .244 with a .705 OPS, 18 homers, 59 RBI, 60 runs scored, 18 doubles, two triples and 23 stolen bases over 116 contests this year. White Sox's Brenton Doyle: Gets chance at leadoff
Doyle went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and a stolen base Sunday against the Guardians.
Doyle started his fourth game since joining the White Sox at the trade deadline, all of which have come against lefties. He had a strong showing Sunday, performing well out of the leadoff spot. Doyle led off the home half of the first inning with a single and stolen base before coming around to score. He looks to be locked into a small-side platoon for the time being, but Doyle's recent change of scenery could prove to be beneficial.

Bryan Reynolds LF | PIT
Pirates' Bryan Reynolds: Struggling out of break
Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a double Sunday against the Mets.
Reynolds has struggled out of the All-Star break, going just 19-for-90 (.211) across 22 games. Even when he has collected hits, they haven't been for much damage, as he has seven total extra-base hits -- including one home run -- with only four RBI in that span. Despite the slow stretch, Reynolds is still hitting .268 with 80 runs scored, 63 RBI and 15 home runs across 522 plate appearances for the season.

Lourdes Gurriel LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Takes live ABs in Arizona
Gurriel (adductor) took five at-bats in a bridge league game Saturday at the Diamondbacks' extended spring training facility, MLB.com reports.
Despite getting in some live at-bats, Gurriel remains at a low-intensity stage of his rehab program as he works his way back from a right adductor strain. According to Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, Gurriel still needs to ramp up his running progression, so he may not be ready for a formal rehab assignment until he's capable of playing the outfield and running the bases without restriction.
