Dodgers' Will Klein: Undergoes elbow procedure
Klein underwent surgery to remove bone chips in his right elbow Wednesday.
Klein spent the final two months of the season on the injured list due to his elbow, and he's now decided to go under the knife to treat the issue. He's expected to be fully recovered by the time spring training begins and may have to compete for a spot in the Dodgers' bullpen after posting a 3.67 ERA and 1.56 WHIP across 41.2 innings.

Dodgers' Dalton Rushing: Set for internal brace surgery
Rushing will undergo a hybrid internal brace procedure on his right elbow Wednesday, Maddie Lee of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Rushing was diagnosed with a partial UCL tear in early August, which kept him from catching and limited him to just 11 plate appearances in the final two months of the regular season. The surgery will prevent him from catching on a full-time basis for nine months, a timeline that stretches into the second half of next season. Rushing will be able to hit well before then, but it's unclear whether the Dodgers would consider carrying him on their active roster only as a hitter, especially with the designated hitter slot already filled by Shohei Ohtani. Rushing slashed .246/.328/.460 with 12 home runs in 80 contests for the Dodgers this season.

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Offseason surgeries ruled out
Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said Wednesday that Ohtani will not require offseason surgery on his left knee or right biceps, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Ohtani dealt with nagging knee and biceps issues that kept him from pitching after July 3 and affected his offensive production in the second half (.245/.325/.447, eight home runs). However, the belief is Ohtani will heal with rest and be 100 percent by the time spring training rolls around. Friedman also noted Wednesday that he "fully expects" Ohtani to be a two-way player again in 2027.

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Intends to pitch in 2027
Ohtani intends to pitch in 2027, Brian Murphy of MLB.com reports. "Yes, definitely," Ohtani said through interpreter Will Ireton when asked if he plans to pitch in 2027. "And looking forward to having a better season next year."
It remains to be seen whether Ohtani will have any offseason physical procedures, and how a potential lockout might affect his rehab and subsequent return date. Ohtani was great when he pitched, but he was last able to pitch July 3 due to his left knee injury and later biceps inflammation.

Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Falters in Game 4
Glasnow didn't factor in the decision in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Brewers on Thursday, giving up four runs on three hits with six strikeouts and two walks over 4.1 innings.
The right-hander opened the contest in dominant fashion by retiring the first 10 batters he faced with six punchouts, but Milwaukee's bats came alive across the next two frames to quickly flip the script. After issuing five walks during his NLDS start in Atlanta, Glasnow again struggled with free passes Thursday, as the rally in both of those frames began with a walk. The 33-year-old surrendered five runs with an 11:7 K:BB across nine frames in his two playoff appearances. Glasnow was limited to 13 starts during the regular season due to a back issue, though he was effective when available with a 3.53 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 98:25 K:BB over 74 innings.

Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Finally homers in Game 4 loss
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and three strikeouts in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Brewers on Thursday.
After being bumped down in the order, the Japanese superstar returned to the leadoff spot Thursday and gave the Dodgers some hope and a 4-0 lead in the second inning with a three-run homer, which was his first long ball since Aug. 18 in Colorado. However, Ohtani struck out in his other three plate appearances, including during the seventh with one out and the tying run on third base. The 32-year-old played through nagging knee and biceps injuries down the stretch and finished the playoffs with a .192/.323/.308 slash line in eight games, with his struggles being reflective of the Dodgers offense as a whole while being swept by the Brewers. According to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, Ohtani isn't sure if he'll require any surgeries during the offseason to address the injuries, which leaves his availability heading into spring training a bit up in the air.

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Plans to retire
Rojas announced after Thursday's Game 4 of the NLCS that he's retiring, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reports.
Rojas played in 100-plus regular-season games in each of his final six seasons, and he served primarily in a utility role during the last four years with the Dodgers. He slashed .267/.312/.391 with four home runs, 23 RBI, one stolen base and 23 runs over 107 regular-season appearances in 2026, and he's elected to call it quits after his club was eliminated in the National League Championship Series by the Brewers.
