Bills' A.J. Klein: Sticking with Buffalo
The Bills signed Klein to a one-year contract Monday, Grace Heidinger of the team's official site reports.
A season ago, Klein played in two games for the Ravens, two matchups for the Bears and six contests as a member of the Bills. The 31-year-old linebacker is currently heading into his 11th NFL campaign, and he's once again in a position to compete for a starting gig in 2023.

Bills' A.J. Klein: Makes nine stops
Klein recorded nine tackles in Thursday's 28-25 win over the Lions.
Klein made his debut with the Bills after being claimed off waivers Nov. 17. He was on the field for 100 percent of defensive snaps and finished second on the team with nine stops. So long as Tremaine Edmunds (groin) remains sidelined, Klein figures to have a significant role in the middle of the Buffalo defense.

Bills' A.J. Klein: Claimed by Bills
The Bills claimed Klein off waivers from the Bears on Thursday.
The 31-year-old was initially acquired by Chicago as part of a trade that sent middle linebacker Roquan Smith to the Ravens in early October. However, Klein suited up for only nine special-teams snaps over two contests with the Bears, and he was waived by the team Tuesday. The 10th-year linebacker spent the last two seasons with Buffalo, recording 110 tackles, five sacks, nine passes defended and an interception over 31 regular-season games, and his experience with the team should help him to carve out a reserve role behind middle linebackers Tremaine Edmunds (groin) and Tyrel Dodson.

Bears' A.J. Klein: Packing bags for Chicago
Baltimore traded Klein along with second and fifth-round draft picks to the Bears in exchange for Roquan Smith on Monday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
Klein will likely fill a depth role in a linebacker room that just parted ways with one of the position's very best players. The 10-year veteran has played just 18 defensive snaps over two appearances so far in 2022.

Ravens' A.J. Klein: Inks deal with Baltimore
The Ravens signed Klein off the Giants' practice squad Thursday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.
Klein was released by the Bills in March after dropping into a rotational role at linebacker last season. After logging 75 tackles, five sacks and four passes defended over 652 defensive snaps in 2020, the 31-year-old played 262 of his 470 of his total snaps on defense in 15 games last season. Klein still recorded 35 tackles, five passes defended and an interception in 2021, and he could slot in as a primary reserve behind inside linebackers Josh Bynes and Patrick Queen.

A.J. Klein: Released by Buffalo
The Bills released Klein on Tuesday.
After notching a career-high 75 tackles in 2020, Klein registered just 35 stops in 2021 -- his fewest since 2016 -- and failed to record a sack for the first time since 2014. The move will save the Bills over $5 million in cap space, while Klein figures to garner plenty of interest from around the league once he hits free agency.
