Mike White: Let go by Panthers
White was waived by Carolina on Saturday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
White appeared only as an inactive emergency third quarterback for the Panthers in their Week 9 win over the Packers. With neither Bryce Young nor Andy Dalton appearing on the Week 10 injury report, it appears White's services are no longer needed. The quarterback's spot on the active roster has been taken by undrafted rookie defensive tackle Jared Harrison-Hunte. White will now be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed will become a free agent.

Panthers' Mike White: Inactive third QB for Week 9
White (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as Carolina's emergency third quarterback against Green Bay on Sunday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Starter Bryce Young (ankle) and backup Andy Dalton (thumb) have both been cleared to play Sunday, so White will operate as the emergency third QB. That means White will be permitted to play only if both Young and Dalton are removed from the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

Panthers' Mike White: Possible No. 2 QB in Week 9
The Panthers signed White from their practice squad to their active roster Thursday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
White signed with Carolina's practice squad Oct. 21, and he could be needed to serve as Bryce Young's (ankle) backup Sunday versus Green Bay if Andy Dalton (thumb) can't suit up. White has 15 regular-season games (including seven starts) of NFL action under his belt across stints with the Jets, Dolphins and Bills. The Panthers made room for him on the roster by placing offensive lineman Brady Christensen (Achilles) on IR.

Mike White: Signed to Carolina's practice squad
The Panthers signed White to the practice squad Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
White's addition to the practice squad comes with the Panthers expecting Bryce Young to be sidelined for at least one game due to a high-ankle sprain that he sustained during Sunday's 13-6 win over the Jets. Andy Dalton is set to take over as the starting QB for at least Week 8 against the Bills, and White will likely be elevated to the active roster to serve as the backup for that contest.

Mike White: Set to join Panthers
White is expected to sign with the Panthers' practice squad, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Bryce Young is set to miss at least the Panthers' Week 8 contest, and potentially additional time, with a high-ankle sprain. That leave Andy Dalton to start Sunday's Week 8 game against the Bills, with White likely to be elevated to the active roster to serve as the backup. White has also spent time with the Bengals' practice squad this season.

Mike White: Catches on with Cincinnati
The Bengals signed White to the practice squad Tuesday.
The Bengals added both White and Sean Clifford to the practice squad in the wake of Joe Burrow (toe) being placed on injured reserve. Brett Rypien was promoted to the active roster and will serve as Jake Browning's backup, but White or Clifford could eventually challenge Rypien for QB2 duties. White was cut by the Bills in late August after failing to beat out Mitchell Trubisky for the backup role behind Josh Allen. White has appeared in 15 regular-season games (seven starts) since being selected by the Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Mike White: Cut by Buffalo
White was released by the Bills on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
White appears to have lost his battle with Mitchell Trubisky for the backup role behind Josh Allen in 2025. White appeared in two of the Bills' preseason contests, completing 12 of 24 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns. The 30-year-old has appeared in 15 regular-season games between the Jets, Dolphins and Bills over the the last four years, so he likely won't have to wait long for his next opportunity.
