Briningstool caught his only target for nine yards and made two tackles in Monday night's 31-10 win over the Broncos.
Briningstool played 13 of 69 offensive snaps primarily as a blocker for Kenneth Walker. The tight end's bigger role came on special teams, where he played 20 snaps and made a tackle in kick coverage and punt coverage. Briningstool's success comes after No. 4 tight end Jared Wiley was inactive as a healthy scratch, further showing Briningstool's place on the tight end totem pole.

Briningstool (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders.
With Briningstool ruled out of Week 18 as well as the Chiefs being eliminated from playoff contention, the undrafted rookie out of Clemson will end the 2025 season without being able to make his NFL debut. The tight end will have to focus on recovering in the offseason so that he can compete for a spot on the Chiefs' 2026 roster.

Briningstool (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday night's game against the Broncos.
Briningstool logs his second week of full practice, which will not culminate in a game. The undrafted free agent out of Clemson quickly found a home on the Chiefs roster but has been burdened by a hamstring injury most of the season. With the Chiefs' playoff hopes gone, the team may be overly cautious with young players they have 2026 hopes for, meaning Briningstool may not see action in Week 18 either and will have to wait until 2026 to make his NFL debut.

Briningstool (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Titans.
Despite practicing in full throughout the week, the Clemson product isn't ready for in-game action just yet. Briningstool has yet to make his NFL debut after catching 49 of 76 targets for 530 yards and seven touchdowns during his final collegiate season. The Chiefs announced Wednesday that Briningstool (hamstring) had his practice window opened to return from IR.
Briningstool will have a 21-day window to practice without counting against the 53-man roster, and if healthy, he could be activated from IR and return to action as early as Sunday versus the Titans. The depth tight end has missed the entire regular season so far due to a hamstring injury that dates back to the start of training camp.

Briningstool has been working through a hamstring injury since the start of training camp, and the issue is severe enough for him to start the season on IR.
