Eagles' Will Shipley: Team's other two RBs hurt Week 4
Shipley rushed six times for 23 yards and didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Rams. He also returned three kickoffs for 65 yards.
Shipley was the last man standing in Philadelphia's backfield after Saquon Barkley (hamstring) exited in the first quarter and Tank Bigsby (undisclosed) left in the fourth quarter. Bigsby had been working ahead of Shipley after Barkley's exit, but if neither of Philadelphia's top two running backs are available in Week 5, Shipley could take on the lead role against the Jaguars in London.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Avoids injury designation for Week 4
Shipley (foot) practiced in full on Friday and does not carry an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams.
Shipley has been battling a foot injury. He didn't practice Wednesday and was limited Thursday. However, after logging a full session Friday, the 24-year-old is good to go for the Week 4 meeting with Los Angeles. Shipley is second on the team in snaps at the running back position behind Saquon Barkley, though he hasn't done much, amassing 28 yards off nine carries throughout the first three weeks of the 2026 campaign.

Eagles' Will Shipley: DNP Wednesday
Shipley (foot) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Shipley ended Week 3 prep with back-to-back limited practices and had no injury designation heading into the Eagles' 27-7 loss to the Bears on Monday Night Football. Shipley's downgrade to a non-participant in Wednesday's session could be precautionary or could imply that the running back aggravated the issue during Monday's game.

Eagles' Will Shipley: No injury tag for Week 3
Shipley (foot) was a limited participant in Saturday's practice but does not carry an injury designation into Monday's game against the Bears.
Shipley ended the week with back-to-back limited practices while working through a foot injury, but he's been officially cleared to play for MNF. Saquon Barkley (shoulder) and Tank Bigsby (abdomen) have also been cleared to play, so Shipley will serve as the Eagles' third option out of the backfield.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Upgrades to limited Friday
Shipley (foot) was a limited participant in Friday's practice.
Shipley missed Thursday's practice with a foot injury he likely suffered in Sunday's win over the Titans. The running back has quickly improved his participation, a good sign for the 24-year-old's availability for Monday night's game against the Bears.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Misses practice Thursday
Shipley (foot) did not participate in practice Thursday.
The running back is apparently dealing with a foot injury as the practice week begins for Philadelphia. Shipley carried the ball seven times for 24 yards and caught two passes for five yards in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Titans last Sunday, seeing an expanded role with Saquon Barkley on the bench for much of the game. Barkley (shoulder) was limited Thursday, and Shipley could play a bigger role again if the starter can't go this coming Monday at Chicago, but that will depend on the Clemson product's status.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Elevated role after Barkley injury
Shipley turned seven carries into 24 yards and caught both of his targets for five yards during the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Both Shipley and Tank Bigsby operated in larger roles in the Eagles' backfield after Saquon Barkley left in the first quarter due to a shoulder stinger. During that time that Barkley was off the field, Shipley operated as the clear RB2 behind Bigsby, with his seven carries being his most in a game since 2024. If Barkley is not cleared to play in Week 3, Shipley would split the backfield workload with Bigsby.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Gets on stat sheet
Shipley recorded two carries for four yards, one catch for eight yards, one kickoff return for 25 yards and one tackle on punt coverage in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Commanders.
The running back actually got more carries than fellow backup Tank Bigsby, but Saquon Barkley unsurprisingly saw the vast majority of work out of Philadelphia's backfield. Shipley can contribute in multiple ways, but he is not a fantasy-relevant running back at this point.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Step back in second season
Shipley finished his second professional season with 14 carries for 49 yards and added nine receptions for 56 yards in 15 regular-season games.
While Shipley played nearly twice as many offensive snaps as he did as a rookie, his total touches dropped from 34 to 23. The 2024 fifth-round pick doesn't appear to be viewed as anything other than a depth option by the Eagles, as the team acquired Tank Bigsby from the Jaguars after Week 2 to serve as Saquon Barkley's primary backup.

Eagles' Will Shipley: Two carries in narrow victory
Shipley rushed twice for two yards in Sunday's 13-12 victory over the Bills.
Shipley didn't play a large role in the Week 17 victory, though it was his largest since Week 10, as he'd totalled just three catches and zero rushing attempts in the previous six weeks. With seeding still to play for in Week 18, Shipley's role may not expand much against the Commanders in the regular-season finale.

Eagles' Will Shipley: No offensive touches in blowout win
Shipley did not receive a carry or a target in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders.
The Eagles went up by 31 points on the first play of the fourth quarter, a situation which usually leads to some garbage-time touches for running backs lower on the depth chart. In this case, those all went to Tank Bigsby, who had 27 offensive snaps to Shipley's three and 17 carries to Shipley's zero.
